A question to Christians?
Why would a perfect God need to create anything?
If God created people, why does he need their love and worship when he is beyond perfection? Surely he can cope with someone rejecting him, he seems like a shallow douchebag.
It seems unreasonable for God to create a person then punish them for his own shortcomings.
Edit:
Somehow this philosophy of:
"Oh you can believe, it is an option, but if you don't you are going to the fiery pit"
doesn't sound like much of a choice. Are you sure its free will if you are being blackmailed?

For His pleasure.
Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.

If He was the kind of god that actually needed anything from anybody He would not be the kind of god worth worshipping. He doesn't sit up there in heaven waiting for Sunday to roll around when all the Christians get their guitars out and start stroking His ego.
If He really is the creator of the entire universe (in however many minutes/hours/days/years/eons he took to do it) then surely the appropriate response is to recognize that, given that being would be at least more powerful those he made, and perhaps might have a fairly good idea about how things work the best?

Becuase he loves to create.....he doesen't need our love or our worship - who said needed it? he can cope with you rejecting him - he just doesen't cjhoose to..he's doing it for you because he loves his creation. He punish you for sin not for short commings "he's perfect how can that happen". The natural man understands nothing of the things of GOD..it is foolishness to him. Today is the day of salvation.
God loves you.....God bless

I'm sorry, but the God we worship is not a shallow douchbag. He's unreasonable enough to love you, in spite of yourself.

It is the same as earthly Mothers and Fathers who want their children to love and obey them. If we who are imperfect love our children how much more can God who is perfect love us? If you knew you would cry with Joy!

Although we believe God is perfect, it's not His famous attribution. He's in our heart because one thing, He's love.

Matthew 7:21-23 (Contemporary English Version)
A Warning
21Not everyone who calls me their Lord will get into the kingdom of heaven. Only the ones who obey my Father in heaven will get in. 22On the day of judgment many will call me their Lord. They will say, "We preached in your name, and in your name we forced out demons and worked many miracles." 23But I will tell them, "I will have nothing to do with you! Get out of my sight, you evil people!"

James 2
Faith and Works
14My friends, what good is it to say you have faith, when you don't do anything to show that you really do have faith? Can that kind of faith save you? 15If you know someone who doesn't have any clothes or food, 16you shouldn't just say, "I hope all goes well for you. I hope you will be warm and have plenty to eat." What good is it to say this, unless you do something to help? 17Faith that doesn't lead us to do good deeds is all alone and dead!

God does not need our love. You do not understand who God is. God is a person with emotions of love, hate and etc. Remember we were made in His image. Therefore God loves us and just as when we love someone we want them to love us in return, God likewise wants our love in return for his... We love Him because He first loved us.. 1 John 4:19
Of course God can cope with rejection, and he also can cope with name calling like you have so unwisely done.
God does not send ayone to hell .C.S. Lewis said there are only 2 kinds of people. Those who say to God , "Thy will be done" And those whom to God says " Thy will be done" The first group says to God , "I agree with you Lord and I want to do things your way". God honors their choice and brings them into heaven . The second group says to God." I disagree with you God, I want to do things my way." God honors their choice and their will is done... they send themselves to hell. Its your choice.

God created us to share the gift of life with us, that we too could be happy and live forever. One can attain heaven by practicing true devotion to Mary's rosary. See the following promises.
The rosary is explained here:
http://www.sancta.org/rosary/how.html
The fifteen promises of Mary to Christians who recite the rosary:
1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary shall receive signal graces.
2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
3. The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against Hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish.
6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries, shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God and become worthy of eternal life.
7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the Sacraments of the Church.
8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plenitude of His graces; at the moment of death, they shall participate in the merits of the saints in Paradise.
9. I shall deliver from Purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
10. The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven.
11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.
12. All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.
13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire Celestial Court during their life and at the hour of death.
14. All who recite the Rosary are my sons, and brothers of my only Son, Jesus Christ.
15. Devotion to my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.
God bless!
