Name some books for someone who loves Hunger Games, The Uglies, The Host and Harry Potter?

I love anything with action, fantasy, sci-fi and romance. I'd love to find a new book that really draws me in and has heaps of action and romance. Are there any books that you found really amazing that are similar to the ones above?

Thanks :)

I've read all the above you've mentioned. You should read The Secrets of Immortal Nicholas Flamel series by Micheal Scott. The first part is The Alchemyst, followed by The Magician, The Sorceress, The Necromancer and then The Warlock. I just finished the third part. I want to know what happens next so badly ! The Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan. They are as enjoyable as Percy Jackson. The Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins. Not as good as Hunger Games, but really good.

    The Mortal Instruments Series!

honestly, they are the best thing i have ever read. They are my second favorite books ever only to Harry Potter.

There is a lot of action and definitely romance and its set in New York but still a sci-fi book

When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder -- much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing -- not even a smear of blood -- to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy? This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . . Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare's ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.

please check them out! they are just soooo good!

I love all of those books some of my favorites are:

The Books of Bayern by Shannon Hale (The Goose Girl Series). This is hard to sum up without giving the whole plot away, but it's based on the fairy tale of the goose girl and is about a teenage princess who goes to a new country to be married to the prince there, but she is betrayed and has to go into hiding as a peasant.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. A boy who has never known his father discovers that he is one of the Greek gods, and goes to a special camp for half-bloods (or demi-gods) in order to train to learn how to protect himself from mythical monsters. While there he is assigned a "quest" to prove himself and restore the balance of the powers.

the mortal instruments series By Cassandra Clare

Clary, Sixteen years old goes clubbing with her best friend, Simon, she sees a good-looking boy just kill another boy and realizes that she in the only person that can see them. She soon is thrown into the shadow hunter world and discovers that her life has been built on lies and is torn between love and family secrets. honestly absolutely love these series, it’s engaging, the characters are hilarious

the wake series by Lisa McMann

The best I can recomend is the Trinity series by Fiona McIntosh. It is long but hard to stop reading!! The romance really kicks in in the third book. There are gods at war and god people on earth and royals and executions oh it's kind of too hard to explain. I should warn it is really really gory so don't read it if you're young :)

Here are a couple you might enjoy:

    - Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr. It's about this magical race called fey's and two rulers who are fighting against eachother- the winter Queen and the summer King. In order for the summer King to defeat the Winter Queen, he must find the Summer Queen who will help give him back more power to defeat the Winter Queen. He then thinks it is Aisline who does not want to join him, as she has the 'sight' to see fey (they are invisible to normal humans) and has been taught that they are not trustworthy and should be avoided. This makes a terrible problem for Aisline as he wishes to court her, and she is already in love with somebody else and does not trust them. It's really good! (The summer king is really hot too! His breath smells like the summer breeze and he glows like the hot, melting sun...)

Blurb on the back of the book:

Rule 3: Don’t stare at invisible faeries.

Aislinn has always seen faeries, although they would certainly blind her if they knew of her Sight. Powerful and dangerous, they walk hidden in the mortal world.

Rule 2: Don’t speak to invisible faeries.

But now faeries are stalking her. One of them, a beautiful boy named Keenan, is trying to talk to her, asking questions Aislinn is afraid to answer.

Rule 1: Don’t ever attract their attention.

Now it’s too late. Keenan is the Summer King and has sought his queen for nine centuries. Without her, summer itself will perish. He is determined that Aislinn will become the Summer Queen at any cost ...

    - Generation Dead by Daniel Waters. In this book, All over the country, a strange phenomenon is happening. Some teenagers who die aren't staying dead. They are coming back to life, but they are no longer the same-they stutter, and their reactions to everything are slower. Termed "living impaired" or "differently biotic," they are doing their best to fit into a society that doesn't want them.

Fitting in is hard enough when you don't have the look or attitude, but when almost everyone else is alive and you're not, it's close to impossible. The kids at Oakvale High don't want to take classes or eat in the cafeteria next to someone who isn't breathing. And there are no laws that exist to protect the differently biotic from the people who want them to disappear-for good.

With her pale skin and Goth wardrobe, Phoebe has never run with the popular crowd. But no one can believe it when she falls for Tommy Williams, the leader of the dead kids. Not her best friend, Margi, whose fear of the differently biotic is deeply rooted in guilt over the past. And especially not her neighbor, Adam, the star of the football team. Adam has just realized his feelings for Phoebe run much deeper than just friendship. He would do anything for her, but what if protecting Tommy is the one thing that would make her happy?

This is a really interesting book since you see how people are prejudice and discriminate against the dead kids, and there’s a really cute romance between Phoebe and Tommy. Tommy is amazing – he is strong willed (he never gives up trying to show people that they should be accepted, no matter the consequences for him), protective (he comes to Phoebe’s rescue a number of times), polite and sweet. You will absolutely love this book!

    - The Time Traveller’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. Blurb on the back of the book: This is the extraordinary love story of Clare and Henry, who met when Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six. Impossible but true, because Henry suffers from a rare condition where his genetic clock periodically resets and he finds himself pulled suddenly into his past or future. In the face of this force that neither of them can prevent or control, Henry and Clare’s struggle to lead normal lives is both intensely moving and entirely unforgettable.

    Hope I helped!
