Which states or cities in the United States have no mosquitoes?
We are discussing places to retire and I do not want to move to an area that has mosquitoes We currently live in Phoenix, Az which does not have as many mosquitoes as the Northeast. Are there any ocean areas that have no mosquitoes?

There are many mosquitoes in Alaska. It is hot enough for them there in the summer.
I have never encountered mosquitoes in San Diego or San Francisco, especially near the beaches, but these are very expensive places to live. You might be better off staying Phoenix.

Mosquitoes do not use heat to breed. they lay their eggs in water. Places with the least amount of standing water after rain or ice melt would be your best bet.

The far north tends not to have them, because it doesn't get hot enough in the summer for them to breed. You might try Maine or Washington, certainly Alaska should be fine for that.
