Training a Chihuahua?

What is the easiest way to house train a Chihuahua? I have a 10week old one, and although he does go outside he has A LOT of accidents in the house. I never knew a pup could poop so much!!! Can anyone give me any tips on housebreaking?

We have had a ton of trouble training our puppy that we got about one year ago. Males are very hard to potty tain, more than females. Be consistent and take your dog out often. Look for signs of needing to go. Circling, sniffing, squating are all signs. Make sure you don't yell when you catch them in the act, i could scare them and make them confused. Clean it up and PRAISE them for going where they should.

The key to housetraining is to make sure the puppy doesn't have the opportunity to have accidents. Take him outside, to the same area, when he wakes up, after he eats, before bed, and every hour in between. Praise and give him a treat whenever he gets it right. When he's inside, supervise him very closely and be ready to rush him out if you think he's about to go. When you can't watch him carefully enough, he should be crated or kept in a small puppy-proofed room (for short periods only). If he does have an accident inside, don't scold or punish him - just clean up and resolve to get him outside quicker next time.

lots of consistently and patience with lots of love understanding and with proper encouragement possibly a treat when in ation in the correct place, try to catch the pup in the act, and then if you do not see, calmly pick up the doings and show it to the pup and say to him\her "this is bad in the house" and also say "we go outside" then to encourage this more try taking the pup outside weather he goes or not tell him to "go potty" while your both outside.try also walking a bit away from him for privacy, hope these help also he will not be completely trained till at least ages 4 to 6 months old. also think of a child at the age of potty training i also have 2 chihuahua's 10 weeks old it take lots of love and patience good luck

The muscles they use to control the urge to go are not fully developed until they're 12 weeks old. Just make sure you sanitize and deodorize his indoor accidents and google "housebreak puppy."
