Best time to eat for training?

Morning all,

I usually go to the gym in the morning because I don't start work till 10.

Should I have breakfast (50g porridge with semi-skim milk) first, or have something small like an apple first and then breakfast afterwards?

I'm not one of those that can leave eating food until later in the day, so I need to have something to get me started.

    Its 5:10 a.m. I haven't gone to sleep yet. It's still night!

    Anyways.. If I eat before I workout, my whole workout is miserable. I feel really bad. It doesn't really matter when you eat. If you can eat first thing in the morning and go workout and feel fine, do that. But if you'll feel bad during your workout and be hungry after.. eat afterwards. Just experiment and see which you like best :]
