I know I could open Pandora's box with this one but how can we get rid of guns....?

the ones committing gun crimes most likely got them illegally anyway so why take them from law abiding citizens? i am personally buying all the ammo i can right now to prepare for the "obamapocalypse." harsher gun laws really won't solve anything but give government more control over our lives. i use my rights to protect myself from anyone who would do me harm by carrying a gun(legally).

In order to truly "get rid of guns" in today's society we would have to do the impossible:

First: Get 100% of the guns in the country out of the hands of the citizens.

Second: Develop a 100% sure method of preventing anyone from importing guns.

Third: Close and secure all manufacturing facilities that currently make firearms.

Fourth. Eliminate the knowledge of how to make a gun from the metalworkers and machinists that currently have that knowledge ... OR Confiscate and destroy all machines capable of being modified to make firearms parts.

Sound impossible? It is impossible! But the anti gunners still want people to buy into this scam.

How about if the government decides to admit that they can not "un-invent" firearms (or even a particular type of firearm), and regulate the use of these tools with some intelligence and sanity? NAH! Intelligence from our government? Never happen!

Okay, let's say some guy approaches me in the parking lot of a grocery store. He's been in jail before for various things. Taking a gun out of his pocket, he aims it at me and demands that I give him my money.

Do you really think he cares about gun laws?! Criminals do not care if their weapon is illegal! If you remove guns, you're only taking them from law abiding citizens. Criminals always have and always will find access to them.

It's just another tactic to disarm the people. The major of black market guns come from official, such as military ect.

Too late. Too many criminals have guns already.
