I am currently a Time Warner Cable member. I am seriously considering switching over to Verizon Fios. The online ads and features seem to be right up my alley. Fios has more HD channels, more channels all together, multi-room DVR, and most importantly in my opinion, NFL Network. I also understand that the internet is much faster. The obvious downside is the 2 year contract and the package I would get is actually about $20 more a month than what I am paying now.

I am a pretty cheap person and when it comes to contracts just want to be sure I am going to like what I'm locking myself into. I have been saying that if Time Warner Cable would just get NFL Network I would pay extra per month to have it but they won't offer it.

Now, for my question...I would like some real life opinions on this issue. Is Verizon Fios worth the switch for me? If you like it please explain what you like about it and if possible what changes could be made or any problems you have had. If you hate it please explain reasons that you hate it.

To start for the first couple weeks I loved this phone. Then a little bit of water made it's way into the charge port and now I'm having some issues with the phone because of it. I'm posting this to sort out if all my problems with it are because of the water or if there are common problems with the phone. The most annoying is the slowness with typing text messages. The phone will freeze up and then type the whole sentence out all at once, similiar to a very slow computer. Next, it takes FOREVER to send a text message. The catch here is it's only with threads that have a lot of messages in them. So I figured it has to do with the large threads and memory and so forth, but when I try to delete the thread, my phone freezes up and I have to turn it off and then turn it back on. Sooooo after explaining all that just wondering if anyone else with the Eris is having these same issues or if it's strictly because of the little bit of water that made it into the charge port?

This time last year I was running 4 miles a day in about 27 minutes. I could comfortably run 2 miles in 12-13 minutes. About a month ago I went on my honeymoon with my new wife. Obviously I didn't do too much running then. Since I got back I have been running everyday however, I can barely make it 2 miles. My legs have really been bothering me so I figured I needed a new pair of running shoes. I went out and had my feet fitted etc. and learned my ankles roll in slightly when I run. So, the guy recommended a couple different pairs that will help with that. My legs don't hurt as bad when I run, however, my lungs don't want to go much passed a mile and half. I can barely make it 2 miles now. It's really frustrating to me because less than a year ago I was running 3-4 miles with no issues.

I went through the police academy and I am now working as a cop on a college campus. Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed while doing foot patrols that my legs are getting extremely tired when I just walk around. They don't hurt or anything. They just feel completely gassed and all I want to do is sit.

I'm thinking about making a doctor's appointment this week to make sure there isn't anything medically wrong with me, however, I'm pretty sure there's not. Any other ideas of what's going on with me?

Oh and I forgot another major key that seems to be present in both of them. They're both big time know it alls. They seem to think they know everything. Not to say that they're constantly wrong but sometimes it's overkill that they always have the answer to a question.

There's the actual police report of the incident. It clearly shows the facts of the case and maybe now Obama will read it before opening his mouth about the police being stupid. Hopefully Obama does read it, apologizes and retracts his statement. He won't however, since Gates is a dear friend of his. But it's very obvious that Professor Gates deserved to be arrested. Sgt. Crowley gave him several chances to calm down and he did not take advantage of them. The charges should not have been dropped against Gates.

I know there isn't much of a question here, I just wanted to hear some people's opinions on the actual report.

How can people honestly think that getting rid of guns is going to solve the problem of gun violence in this country? I want you to read this question here and give your opinions on this.

A 14 year old kid is walking to and from school with a .45 cal handgun and we think the way to solve this problem is to ban guns from the law abiding citizens of the country? I just don't understand why people honestly are so naive that they feel that if law abiding citizens don't have guns then criminals won't have guns either...

I just searched through resolved questions on this topic since I'm sure it has been asked a lot of times. After reading through some answers, I just want some more responses.

With technology I am pretty illiterate if that makes sense. What's the difference between 1080p, i 720 etc? I am looking to get anywhere between a 42" to 46" flat screen. What are the best options for me? Like I said I'm not crazy into technology so I won't notice the little things that other techno nuts might notice. I have digital cable through Time Warner so I have the full HD package automatically which I would like to take full advantage of. I also have a Blu-Ray disc player which is another reason I need a better t.v. So basically, what are the best choices out there for this? Is LCD or Plasma better and why? My budget will be $1500 at the absolute maximum but I would like to spend less than that. I've been looking for t.v.'s at Best Buy but I really don't know what I'm looking at so I don't want to buy until I know what the best option is. Mine is Billy Joel. Saw him once at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY. Then got tickets to go see him at the Farewell to Shea Stadium concert. But I was in the police academy and had to miss it. My whole family freaking went and my fiance still hasn't let me hear the end of how great it was seeing him perform with Steven Tyler, Garth Brooks, and Paul McCartney.

And in saying that...was anyone at either one of these concerts?

Ok, I think this will be interesting! I really like this movie. I will argue that it's the best movie ever made. But for those of you who like it as much if not more than me..what are some of your theories on this movie? Was Verbal/Keyser making the entire story up? Are parts of it true? What are your personal theories on this movie? I know what my theory is but I like hearing other peoples theories as well. I like this movie because it can be looked at in so many different ways. The whole story was true except at the end obviously. Everything was fabricated! Parts were made up but not all...So bring on your theory! I am working as a police officer at a local college right now. I want to eventually get a job with the local city police and eventually work my way into the K9 unit. I'm curious though. If vacation time is available and you go on vacation, what do you do with your K9 partner?

I've noticed that the same questions are constantly popping up over and over and over again by different people. Is there a reason behind this? It happens in every category I go in, but the most common is in the police section. Someone always asks the question about if these crimes are a felony or misdemeanor. And there's a list of 5 crimes. Steal from a toy store, rape and strangle 5 women, and a couple other ones. It drives me nuts everytime someone asks this.

Does anyone else think that Matt Cassel is highly overrated and is going to have a big reality check this season now that he doesn't have Wes Welker and Randy Moss to throw to?!?! I feel like I could throw for 400 yards with Welker and Moss as my receivers!!

My argument here is that if you really watch him he never went through his progressions. If his 1st receiver wasn't open, he would either run or throw the ball away. Now in saying that I also understand he is a young q.b. who still has a lot to learn. But I still predict that he's not going to have a good season now that he's not throwing to Welker or Moss.
