Verizon Fios vs Time Warner Cable?
I am currently a Time Warner Cable member. I am seriously considering switching over to Verizon Fios. The online ads and features seem to be right up my alley. Fios has more HD channels, more channels all together, multi-room DVR, and most importantly in my opinion, NFL Network. I also understand that the internet is much faster. The obvious downside is the 2 year contract and the package I would get is actually about $20 more a month than what I am paying now.
I am a pretty cheap person and when it comes to contracts just want to be sure I am going to like what I'm locking myself into. I have been saying that if Time Warner Cable would just get NFL Network I would pay extra per month to have it but they won't offer it.
Now, for my question...I would like some real life opinions on this issue. Is Verizon Fios worth the switch for me? If you like it please explain what you like about it and if possible what changes could be made or any problems you have had. If you hate it please explain reasons that you hate it.
Thanks all who take the time to answer this question. I'm hoping to get a lot of responses, both good and bad about Fios.

I just want to get something straight, Time Warner Cable wants to offer the NFL package, but the NFL people are being jerks about it. Time Warner Cable wants to offer the NFL as an additional package like Dish, Direct TV and the others. But guess what the NFL doesn't want to cut the same deal as they did with all the others. They want Time Warner Cable include the NFL channels in the Basic cable package for all customers. Not bad you say? Well what that will do is raise the rates for all customers across the board. Whether they watch Foot Ball or not. Time Warner Cable stands up for their customers, just like when Fox tried to raise their rates 10 fold on the last contract renewal. Time Warner Cable stood their ground realizing that a 10 fold increase would raise rates for customers way too much. Which turned out to work, fox agreed to a modest 50% increase.
As far as FIOS goes I would wait a year or two, New technology is always buggy. Let the first aadopters, test it our first, before you commit for two years.
