What food should I serve at my housewarming party?
I'm hosting my own housewarming party, there are about fifteen people coming, and between the ages of 17 to 24. What's relatively inexpensive, and will feed this many people. I was thinking for like snacks some nachos. But I need other snack ideas.
P.s. I don't have a barbeque yet.

You want small things that can be easily snagged up, or put on a small plate that people can walk around with. This allows everyone to mingle and check out your house.
Don't do pizza, it can be messy and greasy. Think if you have new light carpet or furniture and greasy pizza gets dropped on it with the sauce splattering everywhere.
Chips and dip
Shrimp Cocktail
Pigs in a blanket
Fruit kabobs
Potato or pasta salad
cookies/brownies
mini sandwiches slider sandwiches depending on what you choose to call them
deviled eggs
veggie tray
cheese and cracker tray
I know it seems kind if boring and old hat but people are there to chat not to eat, and also you can do different updated versions of a lot of these.

maybe you could have pizza... not the traditional sliced pizza, have squares (they last longer and are more better for snacking within a large crowd)... you can serve chips, dip, cookies or any type of appetizer would be good.
That age group might like different types of candy as well.
Nachos also sound good.... maybe even pop some popcorn, it smells good and taste great.

Shrimp cocktail, a variety of imported cheeses, Imported crackers, then a small Chocolate cup filled with strawberries, blueberries, and one kiwi. This will show them that you have good taste.

Probably finger food since it's just a house warming party..like little sandwiches, candy, cookies, little stuff like that.
