Can 2 people (owners of business) create an LLC or is LLC just for 1 person?

trying to go into business with a friend of mine, can we do LLC or do we have to do a LP? I thought LLC?

    LLCs are available for any number of people (1 or more). Check with your secretary of state's website. The paperwork is usually very easy to do yourself. Note that you will also need an operating agreement signed by all members of the LLC. It does not have to be filed with the state, however, your company needs to keep it on file.
