Ramadan: What Islam says about Jesus?
This is a serious question. I deserve a bunch of hate due to the answers I give to you all the time, but I really like a real answer. This question is not religiously directed, I am truly curious. I heard that the Qur'an talks about Jesus, but I don't feel the inclination to go read the Qur'an so if you guys are not angry enough with me, could you please let me know and direct me to the passage, if it exist? I am pretty ignorant of the Qur'an, that is obvious.

" Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah; "
003.052
" When Jesus found Unbelief on their part He said: "Who will be My helpers to (the work of) Allah?" Said the disciples: "We are Allah's helpers: We believe in Allah, and do thou bear witness that we are Muslims. "
003.055
" Behold! Allah said: "O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute. "
003.059
"The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was. "
002.136
" Say ye: "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah (in Islam)." "
004.171
" O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs."
005.110
" Then will Allah say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.' "
005.116
" And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden. "
061.006
" And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, "this is evident sorcery!" "
004.157
" That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:- "
****************
019[016 - 040]
"Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.
She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.
She said: "I seek refuge from thee to (Allah) Most Gracious: (come not near) if thou dost fear Allah."
He said: "Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son.
She said: "How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?"
He said: "So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us':It is a matter (so) decreed."
So she conceived him, and she retired with him to a remote place.
And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree: She cried (in her anguish): "Ah! would that I had died before this! would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight!"
But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for thy Lord hath provided a rivulet beneath thee;
"And shake towards thyself the trunk of the palm-tree: It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon thee.
"So eat and drink and cool (thine) eye. And if thou dost see any man, say, 'I have vowed a fast to (Allah) Most Gracious, and this day will I enter into not talk with any human being'"
At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: "O Mary! truly an amazing thing hast thou brought!
"O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!"
But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"
He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;
"And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live;
"(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;
"So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!
Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.
It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is.
Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight.
But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a Momentous Day!
How plainly will they see and hear, the Day that they will appear before Us! but the unjust today are in error manifest!
But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be determined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe!
It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned. "

There's no reason to be angry with you. You asked an innocent question.
In Islam, Jesus is considered to be one of the prophets. He had no father but we don't believe that God is his father. Since God is able to create Adam and Eve, he is perfectly capable of creating a being with no parent. Jesus was gifted, even as an infant. When the people where Mariam (his mother) lived would spread rumours about her and accuse her of being unchaste, he would speak to those people, intelligently, explaining how he has no father.
We believe that when the people looked for Jesus, to crucify him, Jesus had switched places with one of his followers who volunteered to take his place. God gave this man the appearance of Jesus and Jesus was sent straight to Heaven. We don't believe that he died but that he is in Heaven and will return before Judgment Day.
Hope this helped.

Good question!
Although Islam respect Jesus as a Prophet and the Messiah; the Quran does not say what teachings of Jesus we must obey. The Quran criticize Christians of the time for honoring Jesus as God or son of God...that's all.
It seems that all references about Jesus in the Quran are the Gnostic version which was written over two hundred years after the death of Jesus.

In the Qur'an jesus is not the son of God. He is just a prophet like Muhammud. I don't know the passage where it says that, You should really read it. Haha
why would people be mad with you exactly?

nicely, i assume it quite is the rationalization there are maximum of religions interior the 1st place. merely such as you do no longer understand this element of Islam, a Muslim will possibly no longer understand some element of Christianity. this would nicely be so even with notwithstanding lots this subject is defined. For the sake of it, enable me attempt to describe your question even with the actuality that in case you don't get it then it probable won't help lots. Jesus is of great value in Islam. We, Muslims, believe that his venture in the worldwide has no longer yet been achieved. 40 years earlier Doomsday he's supposes to return to Earth as a King. interior the Koran it states that Jesus replaced into in no way crucified, yet rather went into Heaven, without dying. of course, as you probable agree, God is almighty. He can do something. as a result, it quite is our rationalization for how somebody else ended up being crucified. In society, chaos would reason such grave blunders. we won't in any respect be attentive to for specific how this befell till we've been genuinely there. yet besides, i do no longer think of that it quite is of grave value so you might understand this remember. merely from the way which you have asked your question, i will quite know your open-mindedness and how which you recognize all faiths. If all non secular human beings theory like this, conflict might somewhat exist. merely such as you do no longer understand this subject, there are a number of matters that Muslims don't understand approximately Christianity. I for one, do no longer possibly carry close the full thought of the Trinity. i don't be attentive to the way one element would nicely be 3. i think that for the time of basic terms one God can exist, by way of fact he's so effectual and knowledgeable, and the full thought of the trinity merely confuses me. So yea, no longer expertise is totally frequent.

Muslims respect and revere Jesus (peace be upon him) , and await his second coming. They consider him one of the greatest of God’s messengers to mankind. A Muslim never refers to him simply as `Jesus', but always adds the phrase "peace be upon him." The Qur’aan confirms his virgin birth (a chapter of the Qur’aan is entitled `Mary') in her time, and Mary is considered the purest woman in all creation. The Qur’aan describes the creation of Jesus as follows (interpretation of the meaning): "Behold! the Angel said, `God has chosen you, and purified you, and chosen you above the women of all nations. O Mary, God gives you glad tidings of a word from Him, whose name shall be the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, honored in this world and the Hereafter, and one that shall speak to the people from his cradle and in maturity, and shall be of the righteous.' She said: `O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me?' He said: `Even so; God creates what He wills. When He decrees a thing, He but says to it, "Be!" and it is." (Qur’aan, Surat (chapter) Aala ‘Imraan, 3:42-7) Jesus (peace be upon him) was born miraculously through the same power which had brought Adam (peace be upon him) into being without a father: "Truly, the likeness of Jesus unto Allaah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, and then said to him, `Be!' and he was." (3:59) During his prophetic mission, Jesus (peace be upon him) was granted and performed many miracles. The Qur’aan tells us that he said (interpretation of meaning): "I have come to you with a sign from your Lord: I make for you out of the clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it and it becomes a bird by Allaah’s leave. And I heal the blind and the lepers, and I raise the dead by Allaah’s leave." (3:49) Other miracles include speaking soon after birth in defense of his mother's piety. God's other gifts to him included healing the blind and the sick, reviving the dead, and, most importantly, the message he was carrying. These miracles were granted to him by God to establish him as a prophet. According to the Qur’aan, he was not crucified, but only appeared so; instead, Allaah raised him unto Heaven. (Quraan, Chapter Maryam) Neither Muhammad (peace be upon him), nor Jesus (peace be upon him), came to change the basic doctrine of the belief in one God, brought by earlier prophets, but to confirm and renew it. In the Quran Jesus (peace be upon him), is reported as saying that he came: " To attest the law which was before me. And to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden you; I have come to you with a sign form your Lord, so fear God and obey me." (3:50)

Honorable Elijah Muhammad through Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan teaches us
That there is no birth record to Islam; Islam is older than the Sun, Moon and Stars. Islam did not originate with Prophet Muhammad of Arabia, nearly fourteen hundred (1400) years ago (Peace Be Upon Him). Islam did not originate with the Holy Qur'an. Islam did not originate with the teachings of Moses or the teachings of Abraham. Islam was before Abraham. Islam was before the Sun, Moon and Stars.
What is Islam? Islam is the Nature of God Himself. Taught us that Allah (God) is Self-Created, meaning He was not begotten. He had no mother nor father. He is the Originator of Himself and of all things and Woman is Key to Kingdom of God
God formed Himself--not from a mother, but out of the dark womb of space and said before there was Sun, there was a Woman. The Holy Qur'an teaches, "From a single essence, He created the male and the female and from them, many men and women." The "single essence" is God Himself. We are born out of the very Nature of God.
The Woman is made after the womb out of which God created Himself First, and in the woman is the Secret of God, She is Second Self of God, She Woman of God - that how Human Beings came into Existence
There cannot be a new world except that there is a new and better understanding of the female, which will give us (men) a clearer understanding of self and above all, a clearer understanding of (God). In the Bible, (God) declares, “Behold I make all things new.”
What is Allah(God’s) view of the female? She is the manifestation of His attribute of mercy to the world. She is undeserved kindness to us, for, through her we are extended through the generations. It is only through her that we live again, and again, and again. It is only through her that we continue to move toward the true perfection that (God) desires for His creation. She is the cornerstone of the family and therefore is critical in the whole process of nation and world building.
Since, the womb of our mother is sacred, then, this teaches us that the womb of every female is also sacred, for it is from her womb that all the Scientists, Prophets, Sages, Messengers, Kings, Rulers and Gods have come and will come.
In the Bible, St. John, Chapter 10, verse 9, Jesus says, “I am the door: By me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” Jesus is to Allah (God) as the passageway to the womb. Jesus is the Eternal Door to Allah (God). Therefore, as Jesus is sacred so is the passageway to the womb also sacred, because it is the eternal door to the womb.
In Holy Quran says God raise prophets in Every Nation, it says Every !
To Buddha , Moses , Jesus 2000 yrs ago , Muhammad 1400 yrs ago etc.. taught Islam- base on true Meanning
Bible is more prophetic Jesus stated that one will come in His name not a ghost, Title Christ or Character and teah all things the mysteries of God or Secret of God, Divine Revelation and same with Muhammad 1400 yrs ago.
But Holy Quran is call Book of Manifest because God will come to Make himself known in the world and raise one , to make us Gods at that time its no need for prophets, takes us face to face with God and establishment of Kingdom of God or Very Supreme Advance Civilization eternal ! Woman is the Key to this New World
