The perfect toy for a child?
Hi there, my friends little boy is turning 1 this month and I have no idea what to get him. What were some toys that you bought your children at that age? I have no children and aren't around that many so I'm clueless but I would like to get him something really cool that would last him for a couple of years. Thank you!

Something educational with lights that blink or light up when pushed, or play music. Large size building blocks to help with hand eye coordination. A stacker toy. You get the idea. Things that will get them learning.

One is a tough age to find toys that will last a long time, as children grow and cognitively develop so quickly.
This is a stuffed animal, which is cute, but also has a variety of textures and activities for a child to grow into:

This one has lots of cool activities:

Bath toys tend to last younger children a long time because they are often simple and they are exposed to the toy for a brief time each day. This Water Symphony set is designed for children ages 1-4 and is quite popular:

And riding toys are also a good bet (but more expensive, not sure what your budget is):

I hope that helps!

at that age babies love lights, sound and moving parts,
maybe a musical touch toy phone,
a singing teddy bear maybe a disney toy like winne the pooh,
a fisher price play table...
Hope that helps

Something that is fun and helps them grow....there is this music mirror thing that stands up and has buttons on it. when you push the buttons different music plays and they can see themselves in the mirror. My daughter still loves hers.

something very bright and colorful. It catches their attention and keeps them entertained. Maybe even something educational?
