I have no idea of either meaning. However the noun and verb is reversed so they can't mean the same thing. Yet, the base words are the same so the 2 phrases are related. It is a point of view difference. No on second thought one phrase is an action and the other a adjective applied to a noun. My guess or gut feeling is that

Fractalizing spirals is action and Spiraling fractals the subject ( a subject is a noun or thing ). I deeply respect one who can handle a second language as well as you.

Source(s): I have no source, I was born so late they didn't "break the mold", they scraped the mold off.
