HELP!!! My Hamster has gotten out of his cage(not a question)!?
Ok, During the night last wed. my hamster some how got out of his cage. We put a towel on the outside of the door so he couldn't get out. We took a piece of card board and put a t-shirt over it. We put food up the card board up to a bucket. We put a peice of paper over the bucket with food on it. The next day all the food on the ramp was gone but on the paper wasn't. So when some one came home on saturday night, it was running around. They tried to catch it but it hid under the tv stand. Today i looked under there and it was gone! What should I do? I really need help. It is a robo dwarf hamster which makes it even worse. If he went into my laundry room, hidden in the corner behind my hot water heater is a hole a small dog could fit into that could take him under my house I am really nervous and don't want anything to happen to him. If you have any ideas or if this has happened to you anything can help thnks!

Try getting a larger bucket, with a nice big ramp leading up to it. Cushion the bottom with maybe a few t-shirts or something soft, and put 'strong' smelling delicious foods that your hamie loves in it. I bet you're nervous! My hamie escaped a few times, but she didn't dare venture very far (what a relief!). Oh dear! That had better not happen! Or you could get a large slippery glass jar on the ground, and put tasty food in there for your hamster to find. But the glass would make it too slippery for it to climb out, so it would probably be better than a bucket. Well, good luck! I hope you find your little furry friend! :( This was a sad question.... Sigh. When you find it, if you do, give it lots of TLC, and make sure it's ok!

First, you should be quiet. He could have gotten into the walls, and you might be ableto hear him scratching aorund. Nexy place a paper bag in basically every room with some peanut butter and hammy food inside it. make sure the bag is on its side, so the hamster can crawl in, get food, and you can here him moving around. And my last resort, although this is pretty drastic (this is how I learned to catch snakes) dust your entire house (wood floors and tile is the best place to do this) in flour. If your careful where you walk, you can follow your sweeties wittle footpwints! (sorry, my heart just melts when i think of hamsters)If you have a lot of carpet, you can try putting newspaper down before sprinkling the flour!

Buy a "have a heart" trap and put his favorite foods in it.
