You belly piercing is find. It just getting use to being in there and getting use to your skin. Just give it some time. And make sure you clean it 3 times a day too help it. The redness is going to go away within 5-6 weeks of it being pierced. You need to use warm water when cleaning it use sea salt. Also the skinny is Just not use to it being there so its reacting the way it is. I have had my belly pierced over 6 months and its fine now. You also cant take it out for 6 months So in that time it will be better. And when you pull it on your shirt it will turn red for about 2 days.
Hope ive helpd

That happened to me too. Try using a regular ring, with no dangly stuff on it. Keep cleaning it, don't use the ointment though. Try using saline solution instead of soap for a few days and see if that helps. Its really hard to make sure you get all the soap out of your belly button, if you use the saline it helps because it is more like what you body makes than soap. Try putting some saline in a shot glass or a small cup and flip it over on your belly button, let it soak for a few min and then let it dry on it own. It should help.

everyone body is different some do get soreness, redness an after pain and then some don't it just depends on your body as well..
the soreness will take at least 2 weeks the redness at least a week or 2 it just depends on your body as well it might be longer.... its not infected if it was would have a smell to it and like a yellow puss coming from it!. it takes at least 6 months to a yr to fully heal sometimes longer it just depends on your body as well...to me it sounds like its a little irritated try to get a shower soap up a rag and then squeeze the rag on your stomach and then push up and down on the bar bell and then let clean water hit it and push up and down again do that once a day n till your navel piercing is fully healed.
i never had any problems with mine when i got it pierced 4 yrs ago i never got soreness, no reddness, no after pain it didn't even hurt when i got it done it felt like i never had it done to be honest! infact i got my left tragus pierced 8 28th it didn't even hurt either people are like its going to hurt really bad and it didn't it just depends on your pain tolerance n to me piercings dont hurt at all i got 12 soon to get more

its only been a week, its still got a lot of time to heal so its probably just sore.
if the redness continues, like gets worse,(you should be able to tell the difference) or any abnormalities then consult your piercer or doctor.
otherwise i think your fine
and a tip, DO NOT change it any sooner then the recomended time period. i did that and mine migrated a little, so just wait it out lol

You might be having a reaction with the metal
go back to where you got it pierced and have them check it
it might just be irritated from soap your using or if you have caught it on clothing
all the best xxx

it's not infected yet. maybe it came in contact with your clothes or something. Don't worry, put some sea salt (not regular salt or kosher salt) in a cup with some warm water and put it on the piercing for about 10mns. That should help you avoid infections.

nope.
you're fine, its just sore from the piercing since your belly isn't used to all of that metal hanging on there.

You said it yourself already, it's just sore and irritated. Don't worry about it, it'll heal.

nope its completely normal. get it checked out anyway, they might have to lengthen the bar.
