What to do while on bedrest?

I'm 9 weeks pregnant. Monday I ended up in the hospital because I was bleeding. It turns out that they found a blood clot behind the placenta and I'm on bedrest until it bleeds out or get absorbed.

This is my second full day on bedrest and I feel like I'm losing my mind! I read an entire novel yesterday, looked at baby names, called friends and family, updated my facebook, surfed the net, researched my blood clot problem (which REALLY was a horrible thing to do as I am now completely freaked out) Because I'm still in my first trimester I'm still nauseous/vomiting/gagging so I'm uncomfortable and bored out of my mind!

Do you all have any suggestions? Also thanks for listening to me whine LOL!

During my first pregnancy, I was on bed rest A LOT. During my third month spent two weeks on bed rest, during my 6th month spent another two weeks on bed rest, then during my last month I was on complete bed rest. It was terribly boring. I crocheted a few blankets, made some baby clothes by hand -- and took the time to make each tiny stitch perfect and frenched the seams. I wrote stories to my new little one, poems. Back then, we didn't have the internet and there wasn't too much to watch on tv.

Today, if I were to be on complete bed rest, I do believe I would be looking up patterns for baby clothes, design my own baby clothes, play lots of games on Yahoo, research mine and my husband's genealogy for the baby's future, plan the nursery and make lists of things needed to complete it -- and knit and crochet blankets.

Hope you are able to get back to normal soon and all is well for you and baby. Hang in there and try not to freak out too much.

I even have in no way been pregnant yet i replaced into on bedrest for a on a similar time as when I had surgical treatment... I did somewhat some eating and dozing! yet enable's see... in case you had to do some thing somewhat greater relaxing/stimulating i might say watch a action picture, paint your nails, do a crossword or sudoku puzzle, examine, perform a little leg lifts, write a quick tale or a track, or maybe knit some booties on your coming toddler! i wish a minimum of a few of those are beautiful. =)

I'm 31 weeks and have been on bedrest since 22 weeks and will be for the remainder of this pregnancy. I watch tv, I'm making my baby a quilt by hand, I play video games, I shop for the baby online, and surf the web. Bedrest is boring no matter what you do. It sucks, but you'll get through it one day at a time.

Computer games. http://www.bigfishgames.com/ They have a lot of cheap and addictive games that you might like.

You might want to start a pregnancy diary. So that your child could read it later on. Or so that you could remember things that happened to you while pregnant.

Whine all you want. I was on complete bed rest for a week with my first child and then on partial bed rest for two weeks and it was not fun. I had a DVT with that child due to my clotting disorder.

Remember clots in the placenta happen more frequently than you might think. And most of the time it works out just fine. Take care

I hated being on bedrest. They put me on bedrest for a week when I was having my miscarriage. I watched t.v, slept A LOT, and got on the computer. There really wasn't much I could do.

I wish you luck, and hope everything gets better soon.

ugh i hate bedrest ! well i pretty much did the exact same thing you did when i was on it for 2 weeks .

you can do games online , addictinggames.com , they got alot of fun games that pass time quick . if you have a game system [xbox 360 - xbox live] playin Halo 3 online passes HOURS away ! lol it gets addicting too .

of course , dont go out & buy the system & games if you dont already have it , but playin games helped alot with my rest , good luck !
