recipe is asking for coriander seeds, what i have is called whole coriander, little ball like things..?

is it the same thing?

    yes they are corriander seeds tiny little balls

    Cut them in half with a sharp knife and take the seeds out.

    whole as in the seeds have not been crushed or ground

    You need to grind them down before you use them as they will not be very palatable
