How long would you / have you been with someone before getting married?

Im getting married next month to the man Ive been with 2years and a half. I dont think theres any right time to get married. Society is very tricky with this. Before you had to get married before children and so fourth when now people make you believe marriage is the worst thing ever. Do what you think is right. If its love why not take the chance to marry someone and have them in your life permanitly forever

6 years and still waiting. It's on his end tho. I would marry him in a heartbeat but he's 39 never been married and terrified of it. Either way he comes home to our house to me every night and has for 5 years now. Finally making it official would be nice but its his fears of marriage that stop that. As long as we're together and he comes home to me every night after work if that's how its going to be, I'm fine with it.

We were together 9 months when we got engaged. We then got married 9 months later. (No babies involved..never noticed the 9 months there lol)

I wanted a long engagement to plan the wedding and finish school for the semester.

We met at 14, married at 23, and still together. I am 25 yr old Female

Lived together 6 years before getting married. He wanted to, I really didn't. We wanted children so he wanted to ensure we all had the same last name...I suppose that is old fashioned thinking now.

Our oldest daughter was with her hubby 5 years before getting married. They just wanted to be sure their relationship was going to last before tying the knot.

well we only have been dating for 2 years and live together for most of it so were happy the way we are when we have more money saved up well talk more about it

he asked me when we got our first apt , baby were gonna get married right , and i told him thats all up to him . cause i will say yes whenever

When you marry someone, you are marrying into their family also.

You MUST attempt to get to know everyone, well, and hope they are being candid about all things. :)
