  • I work for a corporate restaurant. One of the hostesses is 3 months pregnant?

They wrote her up last week for having a togo cup of water up at the stand for her drink. It was hidden and she never took a sip in front of guests. They told her the next day she is not to come into back of house for water that she needs to wait until she gets a break to get some water. Today she worked 8 hours before getting a break to get water and eat. Is there some type of law against this? She's pregnant and I would think going 8 hours without water or food even isn't healthy. I told her she should get a note from her Dr. stating that she needs to have access to water whenever she wants.

I think it's completely heartless to tell a pregnant woman no you can't have water work 8 hours then we'll let you have some. Is there anything she can do besides what I suggested the Dr.'s note?

    Thanks

  • Mixing antibiotics Doxycycline now onto Ciprofloxacin?

My boyfriend has some type of kidney infection or kidney stone or UTI they aren't sure yet waiting test results. The fist antibiotic they prescribed him was Doxycycline Hyclate 100mg, he's been taking that for 4 days now and it's done nothing. Now they prescribed Ciprofloxacin 500mg. Is it ok for him to start taking the new antibiotic with the old in his system? I'm concerned and would like to hear from someone who knows about these two antibiotics.

    Thank you so much.

  • Bank of America ran mortgage twice.?

BOA who I have my mortgage and checking with ran my mortgage payment twice. Which caused my account to go into negative. I had the duplicate payment reversed. They have charged me 4 35 dollar overdraft fees due to mortgage being charged twice even tho the second payment was reversed. I have called the checking end and they told me they will reverse one of the 4 overdraft fees but not the other three. I'm really annoyed. I called them the day I saw the duplicate payment pending and was told it was taken care of. Then two days later see it went thru along with 4 overdraft fees. Is there anything I can do??

  • Neighbor's son is mowing our yard.?

Last night he said he'd mow our yard for $20.00. He's probably 18ish and I think he mows a few yards for extra money. I said fine (our lawn mower is broke). The weeds in the back yard along house and fence are crazy. He's been at it since 7am, it's now 9:35. I feel bad. I already gave him $30 instead of the $20 he said he'd do it for. Should I give him more? He's pulled up all the weeds along the sides of house and fence and he's mowing the yard now. When I gave him $10 more he was very thankful and asked if I was sure. He hadn't even gotten to the backyard where the weeds were out of control along fence. I was thinking of giving him $10 more so he'd get $40 total instead of the $20.

  • Is this normal behavior for a Jehovah's Witness?

My boyfriend's grandmother was born and raised in Sicily. She was catholic for many years. After her husband died I'd say about 7 years ago she became a Jehovah Witness. Since then she has pretty much cut off all ties with the family, well unless she needs something of course then she feels free to call. Never to even ask how they are doing just to ask for help with whatever it is she needs. She has never seen her great grand children. Her son, my boyfriends father rarely talks to her (all of this is her choice) She will still call my boyfriend but only when she needs something. And when she needs something she demands that he come over right away. He does. He gets annoyed but he goes over and fixes whatever it is. Today he worked for 12 hours and after 4 months of no phone calls from her she calls because her car needs work and demands that he come over after work. I tell him to tell her tough chit basically take it to the dealer only time you ever contact your family is when you needs something, his father (her son agrees). I'm just curious if this is normal for this religion I know nothing about them except from what I've seen of his grandmother which is her "religion" has alienated her from her entire family by her choice. And the only time she ever calls any of them is when she wants them to do something for her. It's his grandmother so I have no say but if it were mine I'd tell her that if she needs something fixed she should call up someone from the church she goes to.

  • Sexual question for people in a relationship married or not for over 6 years.?

I have been with my boyfriend for almost 7 years living together almost six. My issue is this. He expects a lot of oral. More than anyone I've ever been with. I don't mind doing that but he thinks it should be done daily. I think he's crazy. I do please him in that regard 2-maybe 4 times a week. I may not finish him off every time but that's because we end up having sex. Sometimes he gets moody about it. I've never been with someone fixated on getting oral. I love him and will do it most the time doesn't bother me, I enjoy it, but I think he should be more appreciative. He seems to think that after 7 years all women out there continue to perform oral 4-5 nights a week. I tell him he's crazy and he should be happy after seven years he still gets oral at least 2x a week. Who is right? I don't know why he seems to think that after 7 years of being together a woman is still going to do that every night of the week. He gets frustrated and will make a rude comment occasionally about other women doing it that often and I think he's full of crap. I'd like to see how often he got a bj if we broke up. I tell him that but he doesn't get it.

So men or women how often do you do that or get that after being with someone for over 6 years.

  • We financed a TV through Best Buy with no interest for 2 years. I've been on time with the payments?

and have been paying off more than the minimum due. I pay online and our internet went out. They don't allow you to pay in store so today I paid the bill it's 1 day late though. Never been late always paid more than due. Had it set to pay off in a few months. I'm afraid now that I was late with one payment they will charge us the accrued interest. What can I do?

  • My best friends daughter is 3 years old and doesn't talk like she should?

I'm just looking for some advice here. My friend has a three year old daughter. She doesn't talk barely. They are now taking her to specialists. She see's one today. I don't have children so everything I tell her she tends to ignore. So here's the situation and my opinion on it. She's 3 years old and still sleeps in the same bed as her parents. To me that should of been over a long time ago. The father is pretty much an as shole and won't let my friend give the daughter a room of her own to sleep in. She has no interaction with other children her age. She has an older brother and sister in their teens. To add she isn't potty trained yet either. I think them allowing her to sleep in the bed with them since she's been born has been hindering her development. My nephew is 2 years old and is already potty trained and communicating with my brother. They don't tell the specialists they've seen that she is 3 years old and still sleeping in their bed. She has been in the bed with them since she was born. In my opinion that is a very big part of the problem. I'm just looking for other views on this because she blows off what I say because I don't have children.

    Any input I really appreciate.

  • Work with a single Mom and she is pregnant again different guy am I wrong?

She just had a baby last year (that child's Dad is in prison) Now she is 6.5 months pregnant (different guy of course). She collects government aid for everything food and rent. She could get more hours at work but chooses not too. I say it's ridiculous that she got pregnant again when she can't even afford the one she has. Some of the people at work think I'm being harsh. I don't think I am. I don't have children. I have months where I struggle the government isn't there helping me pay my bills, I suck it up, work more and cut back on certain things. I think she's abusing the system but a few people I work with think there is nothing wrong with her being pregnant again.

  • Together for almost 7 years living together six still no marriage?

I'm getting very frustrated. We have been together for 7 years, living together for 6 of those years. I have been married once, he has never been married. Neither one of us have children. I think it's time. He just turned 40 last month, I'm 37. I'm the longest he has ever been with anyone . I say it's time. He doesn't get my view on it. My view is this. All I am is another girlfriend no more special than the others because we've yet to marry. Until he me, any relationship he had only lasted 2 years maybe longer. I don't push him on marriage usually it's just a comment every once in awhile but COME ON. I just wish when we do actually discuss it he'd understand my view that I'm just another girlfriend. The only complaint he has about me is I don't clean house like I should (he works full time I work part time) I get that I'm kinda messy but that is the only fault he has with me which yeah I could be neater but to me if being messy is the only complaint in life he has about his girlfriend he should be thankful, no one is perfect.

I'm not planning on leaving him but am I wrong? Seven years and still not married! I don't even care about a wedding I just want to be the one person he says "This is my wife"

  • Need some ideas for playing a joke on my boss?

My boss has this fake rat. He likes to hide it all over the restaurant to scare us. The thing looks real and it scares the crap out of most of us. Well Friday night he put it on top of a glass rack and when I pulled out the rack it was there scared me. I took it. I have it now. I was planning on taking a picture of it with maybe a noose around it's neck or with my dog about to bite it. Trying to think of what to put on the ransom note but I'm drawing blanks. Any ideas? Thanks

  • If you won say 10 million after taxes. Who would you help and why and who wouldn't you help and why?

My boyfriend and I play the lottery every week. $5.00 a week. It's the only chance we will ever have in this lifetime of getting a large sum of money (22 million is jackpot tonight). We have discussed before about who we'd help/give money to family/friend wise. I'd like to hear how others would or would not give family some and what relatives that you have that you wouldn't give any and why.

  • I've been playing poker online and at the local casino spot in town?

off and on for a year or so (much more online). I finally started entering tourney's online last month. For the first year I've just been playing 2/4 NL tables. I hate it. Bunch of retired people in my area with nothing to do but and hope for something on the river. So far in my online experience with tourney's I'm not doing to shabby. I finished 4th in a $500 tourney this week out of 1700 players. The other cash tourney's I finish anywhere from 60th-200th same amount of players. I want to go and try my luck at a real tourney. The ones they have here the buy in ranges from 65-125 for most. NO more than 100 players max (usually it's around 60-70 players). I'm nervous though. Playing online, chilling at home is much different than sitting across from the person. Was looking for advice from someone who took online tourney playing over into playing at the real tables and what differences you noticed? I think for the first one I'm going to stick with the $65 buy in. That way, I'm not in for much but I can get a good feel of what playing a tourney at the tables is like. Any info online vs. real tables I'd appreciate.

    Thanks a bunch.

  • I have destroyed all of my credit cards but one and want to become debt free?

I'm in debt. My credit score isn't bad and I pay all my bills on time but it's getting overwhelming when I pay the minimum each month and realize how long it will take to pay them all off. So, I have decided to sit down and cut expenses on the useless things I really don't need to spend money on. I've also decided to pay off the credit cards with the lowest balance first. I have 4 of those all with $100 or less on them. I'm going to pick one and pay it off then move onto the next. After I eliminate them, I plan to move onto to the credit cards with the higher interest rates pick the one with the lowest balance and pay it off and so on. Is the right approach to take? I figured that paying off all the little ones with a small balance could be something done in a couple of months and even though the minimum payment on them is low it adds up. I don't want to close out the credit accounts because I've read that looks somewhat bad on your credit report so I just destroyed the cards instead leaving one for in case of some emergency. Would like to here from others who have paid off their debt and their approach to it. Thanks

  • Why is he so selfish at times.?

My boyfriend and I have never been apart. We've been living together for 7 years and never apart except for work and the daily things in life. I have just started talking to my real father again a few months ago. I haven't seen my real father in 19 years. He wants to fly me out to Vegas in November to visit. He mentioned it to my boyfriend on the phone first because I wasn't home at the time. My boyfriend said we should go. I said we both can't go. We can't we have four dogs and to board them would be over $100.00 a day which we don't have. So he seems to think neither one of us should go because of the cost of boarding the dogs. It's my Dad and as much as I'm sure he'd like to meet my boyfriend it's more about him wanting to see me. He was diagnosed with cancer last year and is fighting it but with cancer you never know. I expected my boyfriend to say something along the lines of you're right we can't afford to board the dogs you go and I'll stay home with them. But that's not what I go. It's more like if we can't both go neither of us got. I'm annoyed and hurt that he didn't offer to stay home with the dogs and me go to see my Dad. How should I handle this?

  • Jehovah Witnesses knocking on door once a week. Is there anything I can do to make them stop?

Every week they knock on my door. I usually try to not answer the door but I have four dogs and when they stand there and keep knocking for a few minutes the dogs start to bark A LOT. So when I finally do open the door I tell them I'm not interested and to please stop coming to my house and knocking on my door it upsets my dogs after they repeatedly knock and they are not invited guests to my home so stop coming. Then the next week they are back again usually the same two women. Is there anything I can do to get them to just realize I'm not ever going to talk to them and they need to stay off my property. It's in a residential area so it's not like I'm on acres of land and can just put up a "No Trespassing" sign.

  • Taking on a second job.?

I work five days a week (part time). I work nights and usually average 25-30 (rarely hit 30 maybe once a month if that). I want to get a second job to pay off debt and get us in a position where we can sell our house and move. I have an interview tomorrow for a second job. It will be a day job maybe 8-3 (not sure how many days a week) I would like to here from others working two jobs. How do you juggle it? I'm going to try and set it up that I still have the same two days off a week, which I think that will be a big help. My boyfriend is a mechanic and he works 12 hrs a day so he does everything he can to help but business is slow and I figured since I'm the one working 4-5 hours a day me getting a second job would help a lot. Please don't mention going back to college. I'm very happy with my life and the style of work I have. I just want to make some extra money to pay off our debts so we can sell our house and move.
