How can Sotomayor be a racist?

Hispanics can't be racist because they are a minority right?

I have to start off by saying that Latino is not a race, it is a culture. There are Latinos who fall into all three of the scientific racial classifications which happen to be Caucasoid, Mongoloid and Ne groid.

However, it is clear from the way that Sotomayor was using it, the she believes it is a race. This not only makes her racist and sexist against white men, it makes her seem unintelligent because she is unable to differentiate between race and culture.

Sotomayor can be a racist because Leonel is a moron who doesn't understand the definition of racism. Racism has nothing to do with who's in the minority or majority. It simply is the (here comes a quote from the dictionary) " belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others." Believing that one's own race is superior to another is something that Sotomayor has clearly stated (and good ole Leonel right along with her) making them both racists.

The whole premise of the question states that racism can only be done by a white person. So if someone who is a minority views another ethnic group collectively in a poor manner and thinks his own ethnic group is superior, he isn't a racist. Nonsense.

She is a racist...When Sonia gets on a bus, she rides at the front and uses her vast powers to force the white people to ride at the back of the bus.

In her courtroom, Sonia has 2 water fountains, one for the Brown skinned folks to drink from and one for the dirty whites to drink out of.

At her courthouse, Sonia and other minorities eat in the cafeteria while she makes the white people eat in the alley...she is soooo powerful!!!!

At her home....all the employees are white people who are paid $2.00 an hour...sometimes all they get for payment is bread and water.

When a case comes before her she does not waste any time, if either the plaintiff or the defendant are white she immediately just rules against them....

First of all the linked question itself is incorrect in it's definition of racism, but based solely on what I have seen of that user, it isn't surprising. Racism is discrimination on the basis of skin color, majority/minority status notwithstanding.

Secondly, Anyone can be racist, racism knows no color. Whether Sotomayor proves to be racist remains to be seen. Hopefully not, but the possibility is always there.

I love people that ask a loaded / biased question (and is it really a question if you are simply looking for someone to re-affirm your opinion). The guys question starts off comletely wrong, stating that you can only be a racist if you are in the MAJORITY. I love the guys response back saying that if the KKK had an operation in Kenyan than according to that definition the kkk wouldn't be racist. I hate morons.

The same way anyone else can. She believes her race and gender make her better than someone else, that qualifies her as a racist.
