how to make my 9.6v dc psu to 9v..?

i need 9v for my guitar pedal but i only got 9.6v power dc.. how to wire it to make it run 9v

    if the pedal can work with a 9 volt battery, then it will work without modification. 9 volt batteries are actually 10 volts when fresh. if you want precise 9.0 volts, then simply put a silicon rectifier diode in series as it will drop 0.6 volts when passing current.
