I'm trying to help my daughter with her homework but am stuck on surds?
The question is: Write with integer denominator
2 / (2-SQR(2))
Can someone please show working for me to understand it (and hopefully have an approach to the other similar questions).

Multiply the numerator and denominator by the conjugate of the denominator.
2/(2 - √2) = 2(2 + √2) / [(2 - √2)(2 + √2)]
= 2(2 + √2) / [4 - 2] = 2(2 + √2) / 2 = 2 + √2
