What to do in California?

I'm a native Californian. There is lots to see and do.

In three weeks, there's no way you can fit it all in.

But, to get you started, here are some of my suggestions:

For a whirlwind tour, you can't beat Pacific Coast Highway 1.

It runs almost the entire length of California, along the coast for the most part.

It will take you to/thru:

Northern California Coast

San Francisco

Monterey (don't miss the aquarium!!)

Hearst Castle (this is a MUST see)

Morro Bay

Pismo Beach (my favorite)

Santa Barbara

Into Southern California (LA and San Diego)

Further inland you can find:

Yosemite

Winchester Mystery House

Old Town Sacramento

Columbia State Park

Napa Valley (wine lovers paradise)

Have fun...there's soooo much to see and do.

California is both huge and diverse. If you like amusement parks, there's a bunch of them in southern California, Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios. The San Diego Zoo is fun, and so is Seaworld (also in San Diego). Northern California is beautiful. Yosemite is there, I think, and red wood forests galore.

If you're going in the summer, swimming in the ocean is fun.

If you're going to be near San Francisco and you enjoy historical and cultural activities, I might recommend going on a wine tour. You can find several options at the following site:
