i baught a 15 sub and a 15 ported box but my sub is 2 big to fit in the box hole...who else had this problem?

    i did. file down the sides. then vacuum out the inside of the shavings. thats what i did, worked fine. good luck!

    You spent the money on the SS XXX but not for a custom ported box? Cmon now, you should have expected something to go wrong! The enclosure plays a HUGE part in determining how loud and just how good your music is going to sound.

    The cutout diameter of the subwoofer is too large to fit in the box. The subwoofer that's made to go in the box probably has a smaller basket.
