I remember a TV show called The Big Picture and I'm sure?

Cronkite was the host and wore a ww11 army uniform. It's never mentioned by media etc. Am I mistaken? Would have been in the fifties or very early sixties. If not Cronkite, who was it?

I think the "Big Picture" was hosted by Fess Parker. I watched "The Twentieth Century" with Walter Cronkite. There was much about the early days of jets and evolving tactics for the next generation of technological weapons on the show. The Big Picture was the story of the American foot soldier.

I remember him in You Are There in1957

At the end of the program, after Cronkite summarizes what happened in the preceding event, he reminds viewers, "What sort of day was it? A day like all days, filled with those events that alter and illuminate our times... and you were there."
