Sunglasses
Sunblock
Towels
Beach chair (s)
Cooler with water and other cold drinks inside
Snacks (breakfast bars, popcorn, anything that doesn't melt)
Sandals
Money for parking (if you need to pay)
Sun umbrella (if you get too hot or burn easily in the sun)
CD player or Ipod
Bathing suit
Cover up for your bathing suit
Change of clothes

Here's the things I usually take to the beach:
- a couple of swim suits
- sunblock
- a cover up
- comfortable clothes
- dressier clothes in case you go out to dinner
- sunglasses
- your cell phone
- a hat
- sandals/flip flops
- running shoes
- snacks
- towels
