A dream I had that scared me?

I dont know why it scared me though. I was dreaming that I was running through a field, and there was butterflies flying around. And I woke up from my sleep, completely scared.

  • The most important question is: what do butterflies mean to you?

But for most people they mean change. Metamorphosis. Caterpillar to Cocoon to Butterfly.

Are you going through a lot of change in your life right now? Becoming a new person and feel overwhelmed? Too many changes, like too many butterflies? Feeling butterflies in your stomach too, maybe, because of all of the stress and change?

Dreams are the manifestation of your subconscious mind, trying to clue your conscious mind into something that you need to understand.

If all of these changes are overwhelming to you, You may need to sit back and relax and realize the beauty in the butterfly you are becoming instead of getting "wrapped up" in the cocoon of self doubt.

    ;)

BTW... just thought of this... Are the people around you changing? You said that you were surrounded by butterflies, not that you yourself were a butterfly. You could be surrounded in change that way, too.

How peculiar. Were you alone in the dream? I find that on days when I'm feeling lonely I'm more likely to have dreams where I'm all alone and strange things occur like running through a swarm of butterflies. There is a book (can't remember the name) that I looked through once about what dreams mean. Check out this website for possible elucidation of your dream. www.dreamsleep.net/

Maybe you are in a situation that seems harmless ie the butterflies but deep down you may have some concern or uneasiness, and that is why you were running through the field not walking through the field and enjoying your surroundings.

You're a guy and you were scared of a dream about butterflies? Do you have a fear of insects? Do you remember the dream vividly? Usually people can't run properly in dreams and it's as if they are running in slow-mo maybe that scared you?

    Field

To see green fields in your dream, symbolizes great abundance, freedom, and happiness. You may also be going through a period of personal growth. Alternatively, this dream may simply be an expression for your love of nature.`

This is actually a positive dream. This dream signifies prosperity and fair attainments. It may also mean you will hear some news from someone who has been absent in your life, by letter, or email. This can be a positive dream for a woman concerning love.
