is it safe to hook up 2 amps to 1 sub?

i got a spl class d mono amp pushing 1 xxss 15

    Yes you can if the subwoofer is dual 4 ohm or 2 ohm or 1ohm, that the only way you can do that.     no dont do it... and i SERIOUSLY doubt you have a legit 8500 watt 15" sub... thats impossible the magnet would be bigger than the woofer theres no way. the biggest 15" sub ive seen is the tc sounds LMS ultra and that is a strait monster and its only 5000 watts rms.

    No. Not even recommended for a DVC like answer above me.

    The slightest difference in component values of each amp can send an uneven signal causing uneven heating of the coils causing them to warp.
