Is anybody else having problems with Yahoo?

It is not you nor your computer it is yahoo. They did some upgrading and it affected a lot of people. "You may experience problems accessing your Yahoo!, Mail account, messenger, rating answers and other services. You can try switching from New Email to Classic or vice versa.

all these answwers are 4 vyears old as I post this. Yahoo has gone from the best email on the net to the absolute WORST!

Each time they 'improve' it they make it worse and worse. I am now positive they employ crack addicted 12 week old brain deal lobotomized monkees to design their 'improvements'

Now the screen design is horrible. the layout sucks, they moved things around without ryme or reason apparently just to appear to have made 'improvements' I kniow no one who is happy with the chages over the last few years and they force yiou to take the newer versions in spite of customers wanting yahoo 'classic' where everything was laid out clearly and cleanly

Many, but not all problems can be attributed to the upgrading which enables the display of more flash advertisements. Yahoo likes to make you believe that you have to upgrade to get no more ads, but a couple of weeks ago, when they had technical problems and accidently placed a script in the box on the YA pages instead of the flash ads normally displayed, I found out that adyield-manager is used to place personalized ads. Adyield manager uses cookies to track your browsing habits, so you may get a different ad displayed than somebody sitting right next to you. That prompted me to look for solutions since I don't like to get spied upon, and I found several good solutions...

Download and install the latest Firefox browser:

Also install "adblock plus":

Result: no more annoying ads! And pages are loading much quicker too...:-)

I personally have the Firefox installed and don't even see anymore ads on the YA pages...:-)

We had problems on Sunday when all our emails mysteriously disappeared never to return. Very strange. I've also noticed some of the features on mail screen. Hopefully whatever is happening will fix soon & maybe I will get all my mail back.
