What do you Harry Potter fans think of the 6th movie?

I know this question is probably old, but I'm just curious of what you guys think.

They did make up some bits that were unnecessary, the burning of the Weasly residence for instance. what do you think?

thanks for answers

my first reaction was BAD, wat happened to all of the life lessons and messages, the emotions, the introduction of the horuxes, no chemistry between ginny and harry but there was a lot of ridiculous love triangle stuff

everything that makes harry potter stand out as such a great book is gone

the movies greatly overdid the teen romances(i could have watched twilight for that)

and the scene with the burrow WAT THE...what was the point of it burning down, the burrow has alway symbolized family and comfort for harry, if it burned down does that mean that harry's family and comfort is gone???

and wat was that part where harry stood under the stairs DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING while dumbuldore was battling malfoy and was killed by snape!!!

the movie just felt like a cliffnotes version of the book with only action and no substances

HOWEVER, the second time i watched it i tried to not think about the book and the lack of depth and heyyy it worked

i enjoyed all of the little jokes in the movie and i though the horux scene was very well done, it was scary and the part where the infernos came out was scary

Visually, and i guess entertainment wise, it was the best one so far. Content wise, no. They put so much romance and unnecessary conversations in the movie (like in the beginning where that girl was hitting on harry) when they could have used that time and money to film the battle scene at the end. The romance was a subplot in the book, but the movie made it one of the key points. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy romance, but when it gets away from the plot not so much. I would have liked to have heard more about Voldy's past in the movie. Also, the movie is called "The Half Blood Prince," however he was mentioned only a few times. I'm also mad that Snape did say his famous line in the end, "I am not a COWARD!" Argh! And how will harry know about the other horcurxes that dumbledore didn't tell him about in the movie? Only the director knows. I hope.

However the movie wasn't completely awful. It was very funny, especially when Harry drinks the felix felicus (sp?). I thought the cave scene was perfect, it was definitely the best part of the movie.

Although, even after all my bashing I would still give it 8/10

    :-D Maybe even 8.5. lol.

Personally, I didn't like the movie very much. It was a very big let down. I've read the book twice and I was really excited about the movie, but so many of the crucial parts were taken out or done poorly. Scenes were added that were not necessary and they took away for the time they could have spent doing the important parts. And how could they take out the last fight scene?! That made the ending so drab and boring! I hope the next two movies are much better!!

I thought it was the best one so far - they did change a few things from the book (for instance, the burning of the weasleys' house and the whole harry/ginny thing) but I feel like the things they changed had to be different for the film. You know, because there was so little action in the book, other than the last battle at Hogwarts, they kind of had to add the burning of the Weasleys' to get some action in, you know?

Personally, I really enjoyed it - I think the actors all did their best jobs to date.

I loved the movie!! It was soo funny! :D It was great and the only people that wouldn't like the ending are those people who didn't read the book! The ending of the book was very emotional and sad and people who only watch the movies won't get it.

I wasn't really disappointed with anything except for the fact that Dumbledore didn't tell Harry what he suspects the other horcruxes were and I hoped there would be the scene of Death Eaters and The Order fighting but they left that out.

It's still my favorite HP movie though and you have to at least say something good about it. I mean, they spent 250 million dollars to make this movie just for people to say it sucked??? Come on people, the movie was good!! :D

Source(s): watched all the HP movies and read all the HP books!

Eh... i grew to become right into somewhat dissapointed. while i grew to become into examining the 6th e book i grew to become into so excited to work out Fleur returned!... unfourtunately they did not upload her and Billy too the action picture! i grew to become into additionally incredibly incredibly mad at some areas. Like while Draco paralyzed Harry on the Hogwarts show and LUNA got here AND saved HIM??? The e book states that TONKS does this. conversing of Tonks, the place grew to become into she??? I basically observed her for like 5 minutes on the Weasley's living house and that's all! there is assume to be this entire difficult romance situation that is going on between Lupin and her. additionally, Ginny and Harry don't have kissed interior the Room of Requirement, they are assume to kiss suitable after the super Quidditch journey wherein Ginny grew to become into seaker infront of the full Gryffindor undemanding room. -sigh-. there are so plenty greater, yet I guess you're drained examining all that I wrote above already xD. Sorry, i incredibly %. and tear at those video clips... basically because of the fact the books are awesome. It grew to become into humorous however... i incredibly enjoyed Emma Watson's, Tom Felton's and Rupert Grint's performances in this one... they definately took the cake! basic I say 3.5/5... I mean, if I wasn't one in all these frustrating-center Harry Potter fan i might've given it 4/5.

i think that the movie was awesome! i also think that the burning of the Weasly's house was perfect, because if the movie was the same as the book it could get a bit boring, like you would know everything that happened.

Depends on what view you have to go by...

My husband and daughter whom is too young to read the book loved the movie. Husband didn't read it(the book) either.

As for me and my teen son we thought it sucked because it totally thrashed the book plot.

However as for film making it was awesome though.
