Why isn't my keyless entry working? Please help!?
Hello, please read before you answer:
We just bought a used Kia Sorento with keyless entry...at first it worked but 3 days later it decided to stop working. The red light on the remote flickers when I hit a button but nothing happens with the locks...I REPLACED THE CELL BATTERY in the remote and nothing changed.
What could be wrong and how can we fix it? Any info would be great, thanks so much!!

Once the battery died, the remote lost it's program code. Even though you replaced the battery, the code was already erased from the last battery dying.

If you don't want to mess with this, you'll have to go to the kia dealership. Unfortunately- they wanted $35 for each remote to be programed in my mom's Kia Optima.

Take it back to the dealership...make them fix or replace it free for you.
