Does BRITA filter out lead from the water we drink?
Im concerned that the tap water in my home may have lead.

I don't know the answer to your question, but sometimes it's not the actual water that has lead. It's the piping (if it's old..i guess from the 80s or so). The water picks up this lead. But if you leave the water running for 30 seconds when you first turn it on for that day and when it hasnt been turned on for a few hours, it should clear it out.

It does not for pitcher type filter.
Needs an in faucet kind filter according to the customer rep.
