My fellow Christians, what do you think of the following prayer?

A lot of the time I pray in the Spirit so I am not really sure what I am praying about. Other than that I pray about things I feel led to pray about. Politics is one of those areas I don't care much for. I'm am not sure how one could change the course of the world. It sickens me how corrupt and empty our government is. I pray for peace in Jerusalem and Israel. I also give "Cesar" what he says I owe him (taxes). Other than that, politics will remain a poor alternative to following God's Word.

I love this payer I love how says because my sisters in the er right now Lord Jesus, you are the Divine Physician,

And the source of all life and health.

Guide our nation at this critical moment,

As our government seeks health care reforms.

Give our elected officials the humility to know

That they are servants, not masters.

Give them the wisdom to realize

That every life has equal value.

Give them the strength to resist the idea

That some lives can be sacrificed to save others

Or that killing the unborn is a part of health care.

Give your people the courage to speak up

And to hold public officials accountable for their actions.

Save us, Lord Jesus, from a culture of death,

And let every reform in our public policy

Be based on the reform of our hearts and minds

In the light of your Gospel,

For you are Lord forever and ever. Amen

Its a good prayer, as it has a lot of important truths.

I see you are a Catholic, which means that you have no idea what true Christianity is. Catholicism is pagan sun worship adopted from Babylon. Before Constantine it might have been a legitimate church but certainly not after him. Read this book for the evidence.

I think you make one decent point... They are here to serve US, the people!

Just for kicks I compared US to Canadian health care costs.

If we spent as much as them, we would save enough money to balance the budget, and have universal health care.

I pay 6 grand a year for my health insurance... Canada pays about 3,400 per person.

Sure that is a tax hike, but I wouldn't have to pay that 6k anymore! I would SAVE money.

Beautiful prayer

i agree on for the most part. but how can a prayer that comes from someone else come from your heart.

when you pray let God lead you in prayer and let it come out of your heart. be sincere and humble. pray that God will lead our nation but put it in your own words.

the Lord's prayer was not meant as a prayer that we say daily. it was a guide for us. it is useless if said in redundancy. you emotion is not there. use your own words to say prayer and let it come straight out of your own heart.

I think prayers should be personal communications with God and not some memorized speech repeated over and over again by a lot of people.

I printed out the prayer 50 times and took a **** on each one of them. The prayer was an embarrassment to your god and just plain stupid. You should be ashamed.

I love it...I couldn't have thought of a better prayer.
