I'm trying to connect my xbox 360 controller and when I press the sync button on the console nothing lights up?

The only advice I can offer, is make sure to hit both "sync" buttons within 1-2 seconds of each other.

Actually, the sync button activates after a few seconds of holding it in. Are you just pressing it? Try holding the button in until the Green Ring on the console and controller start to flash in circles.

Try new batteries. And also make sure to press the sync button on the xbox first. then the controller one.

usually, I will press and hold the xbox sync button down, and then press the controller sync button, and let go of both at the same time.

Try removing the battery and then try again? I also find that you must press the sync button on the console then hit the one on the xbox control. You could always trade consoles with your friend since it really wouldn't matter if your really desperate.

Nothing should " Light Up" actually. Once you hold the button for a couple seconds then the four green rings should blink in a spinning formation. Then you do the same with the same button on the top of the controller. The controller will do the same thing with its lights then blink a couple times and one ring will stay lit.

you have to hold the sync button for like 2 seconds ( the one on your console) at the same time you push the sync button on your controller

re-set 360

unplug the xbox 360, wait about 5 minutes plug it in again
