Why do some religious people always use God to answer questions?

Go up to a chalkboard and write the problem 2 + 2 = ? Then sit down and wait for God to put the answer on the board. Not gonna happen. God gave us intelligence to solve our own problems. I only pray for guidance in making my decisions.

When you have a close relationship with someone possibly your mate, then you make decisions that would please him or her. A person with a close relationship with God involve Him in all the decision they make. I do not mean I pray before I but soap but I would look for the best for my family because that is what pleases God. We are making decisions every day and when we have someone close we usually ask for suggestions. God give us principles to live by and I try to keep in line with those principles when I decide to do anything. It has made my life a lot better and happier.

You will always get the odd person cut and pasting a standard answer just chasing the two points, or else just tryinig to convert you. It's kind of like handing out religious tracts.

I can think "outside the Bible" but as my life revolves around God, I share everything with him. I mean, he's all-knowing, so he probably knows the best thing to do.

Because God is the most fundamental thing there is. If we want to learn about something, it is always good to start with Him.

Well some people can't actually handle real life. Some use drugs to avoid dealing with reality. Others use religion.

It is basically an avoidance strategy.

We're religious, we believe in God and put our trust and faith in him. What are we supposed to answer you with, He-man?

For god's sake, what in heaven are you talking about?
