Purchasing on items off Ebay.?

I have bought and sold lots of stuff on ebay. It can get quite inter sting when they get into bidding wars at the end.

I sold a saddle that I had bought used for $300, rode it for 2 years and the final bid was $1,295. I turned that around and bought a brand new custom ranch cutter from a saddle maker who was trying to recoup part of his investment on a job that was never picked up. Isn't my favorite tooling pattern, but an incredibly well made saddle for half the price of new.

BTW, reminds me that I have a lot of tack laying around that I need to get on eBay. Now I have to work more and ride less! lol

Ebay is cheaper because many of the items are used or are overstock items. You also usually cannot return items so there is a bit of risk. And some of the stuff is just plain crap. Ebay can be a great place to get tack if you know what you need and what to look for and if you connect with a good seller. If you do not know exactly what to look for, you are better off going to a tack shop or mail order catalog so that the staff can provide guidance and you can return items that don't work out.

I bought a trail saddle of ebay for 100$ and then they sell the ones like that (but r in magzines r something) for 200$ i really dont know why. I think if they are just normal people seling it they really need it to go. My saddle is awesome that i got of ebay! MY SADDLE WAS NEVER USED ETHIER!
