My dog just had an hour and a half of nonstop in and out seizures. Can anyone help?
It is known as "cluster seizures." The only problem is, no websites I have read mentioned anything about an hour and a half of seizures, or what to do. He is punch drunk (how he walks is what I mean), and is slowly acting to commands like sit and it takes him a while to move from room to room. I need help or advice as what to do. Please help.
Thanks,

Well im not a vet, but I am a registered nurse. Generally medications are used to control seizure activity. I would assume that if you brought him to a vet you dog would need to start some sort of medication just as a human would.
He will be lethargic and wobbly afterwards because seizures take a lot of energy out of you. With all the muscles spasming its a huge workout. If the seizures persist just try and keep the dog comfortable and safe so he doesn't hurt himself by hitting something. Talk to him and encourage him because its probably scary for the poor dog.
I would definitely look into a vet for possible medications to control future seizures.

He needs a vet now. Call your vet or an emergency vet right away. Sometimes when a dog starts these types of seizures the best thing to do is have a vet give sedatives that will not only calm the dog down but also stop the seizures. This is a special type of medicine that can only be administrated by a vet. He will need to be observed the entire time he is under the affects of the medicine. You really need to see a vet. Many times during seizures the brain is starved of oxygen and blood flow. You need to take him to a vet.

Take him to the vet. Seizures for a long period of time can cause damage to the nervous system, as far as I have heard. Short seizures are not as dangerous. Has your dog recently been on any medications, or had access to any substance that may have poisoned him? You might check to see if there are any side effects on the meds, online, if he was on any. Our dog had a seizure following a stomach medication. Try changing your dog's food, too, possibly to a grain-free food. But, as for right now, take him to the vet. This is dangerous.

Each seizure destroys a little bit of brain cells. As soon as possible, you must get your dog to a veterinarian to get him on anti-seizure meds. Until then, just let him rest and relax. If he has more seizures try to make sure he doesn't hit his head or otherwise hurt himself while it's happening. If you can afford an emergency vet, go tonight.

You should probably call a 24 hr. vet clinic and ask them what is the best thing to do. You may think about medication to help him control the seizures.

that is really crazy, i have a pit bull lab mix that used to be overweight and would have seizures for like 20 minutes and just lay there and act really weird, and shake, he was unresponsive, but would soon snap out of it. it is probably damaging his brain from so many consistent seizures in a row i'd take him to the vet hope he gets better!!

I'm not one to normally jump on the "Get your dog to the vet" wagon, but you need to consult a vet NOW. If it's late at night, you should be able to call the emergency clinic and consult over the phone to see if they think he should be seen tonight or tomorrow. If you dog loses his "senses" due to neurological damage from seizing, his quality of life will be diminished and that would be totally heartbreaking.
Please call or get to a vet now.

Well, nothing on any website is going to help that poor dog. He needs to go to the emergency vet clinic ASAP or he could die. After that, he'll need to regularly see a vet to treat this problem. You can't take care of this on your own.

You need to get him to an emergency vet,as prolonged seizures,or "status epilepticus" can cause a high fever and death.
