Which is better??-- for my silky terrier?
my 5 month old silky's hair is growing longer
Should i tie them up like what ppl do with most dogs (maltese, yorksie, etc)
or
Should i just leave them run down the side?

WRAPPING is done for SHOW stock! Sectioned,oiled & wrapped to prevent breakage.
& NEVER for Silkys!
Keep it combed out-period.
WHY aren't you talking to your breeder? Instead of fumbling around w/strangers-on-line....most of whom have never seen a Silky or know anything about properly grooming any breed.

Dont tie the hair up, you can let it grow long or take it to a salon to be trimmed. Nobody ties a silkies hair up, not even people who show their dogs. Just make sure you brush it every day or every other day.

I let my dogs hair grow out and just comb it daily.
I use a little hair spray sometimes too.
I have an Australian Silky X Maltese.

you can trim it or maybe tie it, but to to close to the scalp, it can hurt the dog
