Tanning/ skin health?

I tan really easily so I know I have a lower risk of getting skin cancer. I don't use tanning beds, just the sun. I'm just wondering what I need to do to make sure I'm not all wrinkly from collagen breakdown when I'm older. What kinds of things will prevent that and still allow me to stay tan. Thanks. 10 pts. for best answer.

Tan is skin damage of course. You because you tan easily and don't turn red doesn't mean you're not hurting tou skin! Definately wear sunscreen!!! It helps protect your skin and you still get a tan trough it

Honestly, I tan very easily like you.. I don't burn! The safest way.. is to wear a low SPF.. wear like a 15 or an 8. You will be protected and still tan!! Also just try not be in the sun between 11 am - 2pm. the sun's rays are the strongest then. You still get a great tan after 2! Just less harmful rays will be out. And also try not to be in the sun for too long.. It's better to tan little by little instead of a whole bunch for a long period of time. If you tan little by little the tan stays longer.. when you tan a whole bunch at one time the tan literally goes away much faster! Good luck :)

Skin cancer is what you'll get. Not right away, but later in your life. You can look forward to yearly visits to a dermatologist. What the doctor will do is to use liquid nitrogen to freeze the cancerous cells on your skin. The more sun exposure you have, the more of those procedures you will experience. They are painful. For each of those spots you have on your skin you can expect to pay about $200 (today's dollars). You can expect to have 4 to 10 show up every year. Enjoy your tanning experience.

Tanning beds have been linked to various skin problems that you need to be prepared to deal with if you decide to engage in tanning. Even using a tanning bed occasionally increases your risk of various skin problems... In dealing with these problems, individuals may be prescribed many healthy skin treatments by skin doctors or dermatologists...
