Ramadan: Why the West is afraid of the Sharia Law?

I do not believe that 'scared' is the correct word.

I think you will find that the West and some Islamic countries do not practice Sharia law, eg. Morocco, Tunisia, etc.

The fact that a man's word carries more weight than a woman's word is complete nonsense. We are ALL equal. Men should not have more right to be considered honest than a woman.

The fact that people are stoned to death for committing adultery in some Islamic countries which practice Sharia law, yet in others they are not.

I guess if you are going to utilize Sharia law then it should also be applied to the wealthy, both when they are in their own country and when they travel elsewhere to do all the haram things they cannot do at home.

No country's laws are perfect and that includes Islamic countries practising Sharia law.

I think more than anything, it is a misconception about what it actually is.. many people come to judge the shariah law without actually ever reading the Quran and they come to some crazy conclusions.. in fact shariah laws that are derived from the teachings in the Quran are not much different than those in the other books... often in some countries the implimentation of the Shariah is wrong and the harsher aspects are highlighted by the West, but if you look into their own laws you will also find some quite draconian stipulations.

Islam allows husbands to hit their wives even if the husbands merely fear highhandedness in their wives.

Islam allows an injured plaintiff to exact legal revenge—physical eye for physical eye.

Islam commands that a male and female thief must have a hand cut off.

Islam commands that highway robbers should be crucified or mutilated

Islam commands that homosexuals must be executed.

Islam orders death for Muslim and possible death for non—Muslim critics of Muhammad and the Quran and even sharia itself.

The purpose of the above highlights is not to condemn Islamic countries or to assert that the West is better than they are. Facts say that the West has many problems. Rather, the purpose is to demonstrate that Islamic countries have their share of problems as well. This means that Islamic countries are also decadent. This means that Islamic punishments do not work entirely (except by scare tactics), but they can drive the sin or crime underground.

because it would change their lives completely i mean first off there would be millions of people getting lashes for fornication so yeah i don't think people would prefer that to the punishments over here.

We like to have our choices and sharia takes that away.People make mistakes and our beliefs are founded on second chances,yours isn't.
