The west coast eagles are team in my state, and every single player on the list means something to me. I begun supporting them in 2004 - a perfect time. When I learnt that they won their second premiership in the year I was born, I was very happy to call the west coast eagles my club.

I wont ever forget the first game I ever watched, there was this guy who would always bomb the ball 60m+ and wore a glove. He was bigger than all the other blokes and was always kicking goals. His name was Quinten Lynch - what a player.

The eagles are my club, the blue and gold runs through my veins. I love our fantastic rivalries with Sydney and the Dockers.

I didn't start supporting them, not that I remember anyway, it was just something that was always in my life, also they were my local team when I was a kid LOL not really, I lived closer to Ibrox if I'm honest but why would my family bring me up supporting a sectarian team whos fans hated us just because we were Irish?, I liked the strip, my family and friends all supported the same team and no, I never supported another team other than Celtic, although I have went to Derry City and Cliftonville matches with friends that support them!

You are correct, North are definitely a "special" team, and they are like no other - languishing in mediocrity when they should be a lot higher. I suppose the only other team that is like them would be Fremantle.

I support the CROWS, the Pride of the best state in Australia. I love everything about them - from a coach who is exceptional (and who doesnt make excuses, but just says it like it is) to some of the best players ever in the AFL (Ricciuto, McLeod).

I also support anyone playing the Power. So I guess I go for 2 teams each weekend!

    Richmond Tigers :)

Well my dad has been a tiger since he was a kid, as his dad was too.

I wouldn't have it any other way though. I'm supported them all my life and I am so passionate about them. I do NOT believe in changing teams, and this is why I will be a tiger supporter for the rest of my life, no matter what. Even though we make some HORRIBLE mistakes, I still believe they are a fantastic developing squad, despite what every one else may say. I reckon we have the potential to go far in the future when all our young guns have matured.

    YELLOW AND BLACK FOR LIFE!

The story is too long, so here's a summary.

At an ANZAC match, I was angry at my brother (I was four or five years old...), and my family took me to the match, as they are die-hard Essendon supporters, except my mom - who doesn't really follow footy.

I was angry, and I just wanted to support the team opposing my brother's team. So I saw a team in black and white, asked the name, and supported them.

I only got serious about footy when I was 10... that was the time I started following footy religiously.

When I was little I was supporting Fremantle, but then when I got to like 7 or 8 I started getting into footy, and then I got sick of Freo because all of my friends supported them, and then one day I was watching Freo v St Kilda like 5 years ago, and then I really liked Nick Riewoldt.

And from that day on I was a huge Saints supporter.

My story is a bit like Renee's

When my Nanoo (Grandfather) first came to Australia his Brother who supported St.Kilda took him to his first AFL match. (he thought he was going to go watch Soccer becuase his Brother had told him he was taking him to the Football) He asked his Brother what the team colours were he replied Red,White and Black (St.Kilda) he replied i like those colours (Man Utd. and Humrun Spartans) so they got there and then they started he was Furios "THIS ISN'T FOOTBALL THIS IS BLOODY RUGBY! he was so mad he went for the other team wich was North Melbourne and ever since my family has been North Melbourne supporters.

I don't really remember how i began to support Essendon. I think the first game i saw was an Essendon victory. I began to really follow AFL in about 1999, when Essendon started dominating the league. James Hird played a huge part in why i support Essendon, and our big rivalries with other clubs.

I've always been a one-club man, and always will be. Go Bombers.

I used to live in Glenferrie and it's therefore obvious that I should support to the that used to play across the street from my house at Glenferrie Oval - Hawthorn.

Local boy, local team, local pride, local... freezing your nuts off waiting for a damn tram to come down Toorak Rd.

I support the Adelaide Crows because when they entered the AFL they represented South Australia and as SA is now my home i wanted to follow a SA team.I have since grown to love my team and couldn't ever see myself supporting any other team.(with the possible exception of any team playing collingwood).
