Can I still use Microsoft Office 2007 after the trial period ends?

Hey guys I really need help. I've recently downloaded Microsoft Office 2007 60-day trial on my computer so I would be able to type up my summer reading assignment. My question is: Am I still able to use Microsoft Word after the trial period ends because my friend has told me after the trial period expires he's still able to use Microsoft Word and print everything but every time he clicks on Microsoft Word there's a pop-up that tells him to put in his product key and he just clicks cancel on it and continues with his work. I find that HARD to believe because then who would pay for the Microsoft Office then right? Please answer back thank you so much.

At the end of the trial period Word it stops letting you edit your files or create new ones. It will let you read and print them (big deal). You have to purchase Microsoft Office 2007, or at least Word 2007, to do that.

Note: The 25-character product key on the computer case or laptop bottom is NOT the key for MS Office. It’s only for the Windows operating system.

Here are some of your options:

First, if you're a student, you may qualify for the Student edition of Office at a pretty good price ($59.95):

Second, if you’re interested in buying just Word, check out this URL, especially the second group of listings.

Note that the higher of the two prices quoted is for a full version of that program and the lower, for upgrades from existing software. Read the list of upgrade-qualifying software carefully: MS Works is often one, and may have come on your machine.

Finally, if you have files that are locked up in the new Word 2007 file format (.docx), here’s a possibility for salvaging them. Microsoft offers a free Compatibility pack that allows earlier versions of Word to read Word 2007 files. If you have access to an earlier version, this can at least give you back your documents. Some new features of Word 2007 will be lost or converted to straight text in the conversion to the earlier version.

    Good luck.

Your friend has probably done something not exactly legal to be able to do this. Yes, you have to buy Microsoft Office once the trial has expired, and you will find your documents may be locked.

You do have an alternative: you can download the free, legal, Open Source OpenOffice, which can open nearly any Microsoft Office file and can also save out or export as the appropriate MS Office files. Go to www.openoffice.org and make sure to read the info on the site to make sure you get the version for your PC and current operating system.

After the trial is over, you can still see the files (the program doesn't just drop dead). Maybe you can still print them - I never had an expired version, so I don't know. But you can't create or edit files.

What part of "60 day trial" you don't understand? Oh, your friend said... Then you'll have to wait until your 60 days are over and find out. But you cannot wait, you need to know NOW...

in case you acquire the kit legitimately there is not any problem. not something will ensue with your information on the top of the trial. additionally given which you have an entire license now your software ought to artwork in complete mode not trial. whether it remains in trial Uninstall this device and deploy it lower back with the total license. not something will ensue to the data. solid success.
