Another Hollywood Firearms Question, Does it exist?
In the Jet Lee movie Unleashed, The bad guy had a pistol (not a machine gun or rifle) that was full automatic. Anyone have any idea what company makes those and if so how to get one in the U.S. without violating firearms laws?

There have been a few full-automatic pistols made over the years, such as the Glock 18, Beretta 93R, and an H&K model the name of which escapes me at the moment. Usually, these are just impractical bullet hoses, but the Beretta had a 3-round burst capability so people could at least try to control it. IF you can find one that was registered for civilian transfer prior to 1986, you can get one. Contact BATFE for the details, and be prepared to pay at least a high four-figure price.

Actually, it's worse than that. The importation of foreign-made fully-automatic or selective-fire weapons for civilian use was prohibited in 1968. The 1986 law prohibited the registration of domestically produced fully-automatic weapons for civilian ownership.
If you really want to try out with interesting toys like this, enlist and go for Special Operations, like the SEALs. They have all sorts of interesting ordnance to play with. Otherwise, look for a MAC 10 with a silencer, pony up a large pile of money, get fingerprinted and get to passport-sized photos, persuade your local police chief/sheriff to approve your purchase, pay $400 ($200 for the gun, $200 for the silencer) for the transfer and undergo a background check. In about 3-4 months, if all goes well, you will have your silenced machine pistol.
FYI: You're probably looking at spending at least five or six thousand dollars for a MAC 10, more for almost anything else.

They are called machine-pistols and are regulated the same way any weapon capable of full-automatic firing is. The Glock Model 18 comes to mind. This one has a lever for semi and full-auto firing.

There are machine pistols, same ATF rules apply to them as any other automatic weapons.

I believe it is the Browning GP-35 Chrome
No longer manufactured due to their ease in converting to full auto.

It's called a Hollywood Hype gun. I think the safest place to be when someone is firing something like that would be directly in front of it.

Those are only blank firing guns and there are many guns and replicas or movie prop guns that fire full auto.........
