Is it possible to use a E-book reader as a screen to write on real time in word, pdf, txt or anyother format?

I am a writer, and my eyes are tired of writing using a normal PC screen. E-book readers do not emite light, so they would be much better for my almost blinded eyes. I would really appreciate an answer.

None of the current e-ink screens allow detailed writing. A few of them allow annotations to be made, but don't have space for substantial writing and don't allow any formatting.

E-ink's screen refresh is so slow, most people wouldn't be willing to do any real writing on it. I don't think we'll see e-ink computer screens anytime soon.

You might look into Pixel Qi screens http://pixelqi.com/ which is working on screens with no backlight for use in direct sunlight, and which don't hurt the eyes like other LCD screens. http://jkkmobile.blogspot.com/2009/06/hands-on-wit... has a review with video of their screens.
