a/c not cooling enough, 79 degrees?

The unit is in a small enclosure in the apartment attic and the fan is sucking the hot air from the running motor-compressor, i want to know if there is a way to direct only recirculating air through the air blower fan and keep the hot air from getting into the fan, like some kind of isolated duct

That's bad design!!! What you need is a return system. It does exactly what you need. It feeds the air handler with air from the conditioned space.

Insulating your ducts, and properly ventilating the attic will also help.
