How long before Indy car racing wakes up and DUMPS Patrick?
That is a total waste of a good car going around the track. I watched her all day and she has totally NO guts. Just here I am and I look pretty. I just don't get it. Token female is OLD news. Good By.

I agree that the Indycar series should place less of an emphasis on Danica and spend more time trying to develop personalities of other drivers. Maybe then the series can begin to grow and lose the stigma of being a cult of personality which is really unhealthy for the series especially when the personality can jump ship leaving the series with nothing.

Yeah, this is flame-bait. Probably the same guy with different accounts posting a Danica flame-bait question every race. But I'll answer seriously. If she is a total waste of a car going around the track, then the 12 guys she beat are bigger wastes, and should be sacked, too. Including Dan Wheldon, Ryan Hunter-Reay, and Tony Kanaan. If she has no guts, then the 9 men she passed starting from 20 and finishing 11 had less. In face, based on the season points standing, she is 5th out of 37, which means there are 32 drives who are bigger wastes of a good car than she. Again, based on total points, she is the best driver on the 3rd best team (Andretti-Green, 3rd only to Penske and Ganassi). Personally, I'd love to see Danica get a ride with Penske or Ganassi and see what she can really do. Look at how Will Power broke out under a great team. I'd like to see if she can do the same. If not, then vanquish her to the pages of the SI swimsuit issue. But until then, I'll judge her on her performance, relative to her teammates. And right now, her performance is looking pretty solid.

Let's be honest about a few things
1. Danica is not even close to competive, especially on road/street courses
2. Being 5th in points in the IRL is like being 21st in Nascar (Jr?), suggesting that nobody cares because you are rediculously too far back to matter
3. Best driver at a team that has fallen apart? Danica/AGR "good car?"
4. She is the marketing face of the IRL, why? I have no idea other than she is well a she... her talent doesn't match the hype (Jr?)
5. Loosing her would actually be bad for the series, they have no idea how to market their series with or without her (maybe it wouldn't matter)
6. Anyone who doesn't drive for Ganassi/Penske might was well be in another race. They've won all but 1 race?
7. Danica would be horrible in Nascar so I'm affraid IRL is "stuck" with her for a few more years
Edit:
8. In her first few years with AGR, that team was competitive other drivers have won races and championships there (perhaps the team drivers don't like her?)
9. That being said I would bet she will be in a 3rd car for Ganassi, and likely running 5 in pts still behind both teammates and Penske cars
10. Her wins from all reports was by a miscalculation by Helio's Team manager.
Personally I wish Danica and Dale Jr. would get married and run away together. The would win the ESPY for most overrated couple in sports every year!

Don't you just love NASCAR fans that *think* they know an iota about IndyCar?
IndyCar fans: Too dumb for opera, way too smart for NASCAR.
Danica's on contract with Andretti-Green, not the IRL. Her contract is up at the end of the year, and she's exploring her opportunities. She is unquestionably talented behind the wheel, as she's 5th in points right now, and (most people don't realize) is the top American driver in the series - behind a Scot, a Kiwi, an Aussie, and a Brazilian.
Let's be honest, she's got more cajones than most of us combined. I'd like to see you (or me, or most anyone on these forums) slip into a 1600 lb carbon-fiber rocket, hit 230 MPH on a straightaway, and take a left-hand turn, hoping to **** the car sticks to the asphalt and that you don't go painting a steel wall grey with brain matter.
Funny how you end your question: "Good By". First, you can't spell. Second, that's what I'd like to say to you: "Good Bye" Your so-called IndyCar fandom is not necessary and not needed. If she continues in the IndyCar, I predict big things from her in the next 3 years.

Wow, she's 5th in points and the #1 driver at Andretti Green Racing. I never realized she's out there just riding around wasting ethanol. The only drivers ahead of her in the points are Ganassi or Penske drivers. I think that means a bunch. She's probably also the most recognized Indy driver on the circuit next to Castroneves. If Danica needs to go then everyone who finishes behind her must need to go as well.

The IRL wants her to stay. You think they want their most popular driver to go to NASCAR? Hell no they don't! And like what a couple people have already said she is fifth in points! Why do you people swear up and down she can't drive? Maybe she does need to take more chances but that does not mean she can't drive a Indy car! And besides if your in the top five in points in any racing series this far into the season your doing something right. Get a life people and find something else to cry about!

First off, IndyCar racing can't "dump Patrick" because the series doesn't employ her, Andretti Green Racing does, therefore they would have to make the decision to let her go or not, or-because she is a free agent after this season-Danica can simply sign with another team or leave IndyCar altogether. I don't entirely disagree with your other comments, just not to the same level.

Seems to me that what really needs to be done is to get someone to change the TV station for you if you don't know any more than that . What she really is doing is NOT making stupid mistakes . By the way , that is really how 99% of the races are won in open wheel . You don't have the luxury of fenders or bumpers to "push" your way to the front . Dale Earnheart racing will not work in Indy Car . Beside , look who she is driving for . They know a good driver . They don't give a sh_t about looks .

At Tellie: How long before you stop using caps to make yourself look cool? and her being the best on Andriette Green just means the team sucks. After following racing for as long as I can remember, Patrick does have no guts. To win she needs to push harder than she does, take risks that may nt work but the payoff is large, she is more of a team-mate blocker role than a team leader and winner... how many career wins does she have? 1 with 75 starts... that's a 1.33 win percentage, and now she wants to race formula 1, good luck but you should just stick to go karts hun...

Indy Car can not dump Danica, as she is under contract with Andretti Green Racing. She is not that great on road courses she is improving, she is 5th in the points. She is not my favorite. But Indy Car loves having her around, she sells tickets, just go to a race and see who has the longest autograph lines..Yep its Danica.
Go Team Penske
