what does this german word mean in english?

what does the german word"rummachen" mean in english? In a book i'm reading (georgia nicolson series) sometimes they randomly say german things so thats exactly as its spelled in the book, and anyways i typed that word into a translator and it didn't work :(

so can anyone tell me what it means?

    Here is my favorite online German dictionary. It is far more complete than almost anything I've seen in any other language, often shows the word or phrase in context and also often gives an audio clip of pronunciation.

    For "rummachen" they say either "to make out" or "to get it on".
