How far does Religious Tolerance extend?
I am a Gardnerian Wiccan. We tend to worship in the nude. Am I entitled to instruct a Police Officer who seeks to approach my sacred space to remove all of their clothes? Is there one law for one (minority) religion and none for other minority religions? (See attached link)

No religion should have president over the law , the law are the rules we live with compromise them for one , And soon the whole system is compromised . do gooders and PC brigade are a curse on us all , and fragment all our beliefs by watering them down to accommodate others as has happen with Islamics . to give them so many concessions is ludicrous they now think we are idiots and they are special and can cry intolerance when ever they wish to intrude further into our lives . the law is for all or it is for all or for none there is no middle ground . And only a brain dead moron would think otherwise.

What a load of bullshit. All this does is create boundaries and wars. Its no wonder religion has been at the root of most wars......
They should respect that officials (such as police, firemen etc....)
Wear a uniform that is identifiable to the public in times of need. If I saw a copper walking down the Street wearing one of those head coverings, I`d think it was someone on a hen-night. Whats next?? Should we tell the fire brigade that they have to find out what a burning buildings purpose is, and that they must dressed accordingly before they enter a burning building in case it offends the sensibilities of those worshipping there?? I know this sounds racist, but im not referring to the ppl in the mosques, just the narrow-minded pc brigade acting (supposedly) on their behalf...

Don’t say the BNP didn’t warn you about the insidious process of islamification. This is yet another example. Muslims are little by little drawing non-Muslims into obeying their islamic rules and behaviour. They’ve already got the Shariah Law courts; only a matter of time before they start demanding non-Muslims obey some of those rules or be accused of racism or offending them.
Britain is great; it can still be greater. Don’t let the Left wing extremists destroy our freedoms. Let’s work together to revive and restore Britain.
Only the BNP have the courage to stand up for Britain.

Of course you are not entitled to ask a police officer or anyone else to remove there clothing. The law is the law and there should be no alteration to the implementation of it no matter what religion or creed a person belongs to.

Your comparison doesn't work. The Muslims aren't "instructing" the police to do this. The police are choosing to do this out of respect, just as non Jews often put on yamulkes when entering a synagogue.
In addition, nudity is a part of your ritual among Wiccans. You aren't naked because clothing offends you.

Where is it going to end?. I don't think I would honestly like to see some Police Officers without clothes on, but you have a valid point. I am an atheist so can I request an atheist Police Officer?. I doubt it very much.

If you were allowed to instruct him to do that, then you would not be tolerating his religion. Religious tolerance mean accepting that everyone worships in their own way, but it does mean that other people have to do the same thing. I find the article that you provided to be reprehensible. Let me ask you a question, I Am a christian, however the bible study I attend most frequently meets outside. We live in Colorado, and we are a very out doors community. If you walked up to our group and I insisted that you put a cross around your neck prior to coming into our area how would you react? Religious tolerance is a lie. There is no tolerance of Christianity, or Judaism. But we of those faiths are supposed to "tolerate" yours. However we are told that the only way to "tolerate" your beliefs is basically to affirm them. However, most religions; not all but most, believe that theirs is the only true religion. Which means that asking someone to basically affirm or succumb to your religion means you are demeaning mine. In essence you are asking me to go against my core religious values, and forsake my god. But only for a moment. It is wrong and it is reprehensible. Look, you have every right to worship however you want. It is wrong of me to try and tell you otherwise. However I have the right to worship how I see fit as well.

The police officer doesn't follow your religion, and therefore isn't required to engage in its customs.
Furthermore, tolerance for your religion ends when your religion's practices violate the law. If their are laws against public nudity, you must comply. You're free to do what you want in privacy, of course.

I'm pretty sure that here, if your "sacred ground" is sanctioned, and your activities aren't supersede by any laws (no religious beliefs would supersede murder... that sort of thing) then the officer can't make you put on clothes.. but you also can't force them to take theirs off.... though without a warrant you can restrict them from entering.
