Which AFL players would be able to switch to Rugby League or Union?
Given Hunt is jumping ship, can you envisage anyone jumping the other way?

Elite players in any sport thrive on & need new challenges. Rugby League has become just a thrust & parry type sport thus we have seen those needing new challenges (Mundine & others to boxing, Sailor & others to Union etc) making the change. The pundits will say they won't be able to adapt & learn the game etc but in reality 5 & 6 year old kids learn it !! These league converts (Hunt & now Thurston) are not the muscled up stereotype league players. They are the speedsters who are getting less & less opportunity to use that asset and AR offers a whole paddock to run amuck in. Kicking has been a big part of both the Hunt & Thurston make-up so the only thing missing is game savvy or experience. NRL/Murdoch/the code itself what-ever have changed the game so much I get lost trying to follow it now & I grew up on and in it for 8 years from Grade 3 at school on ! AFL can't offord to make the same mistakes - that's my concern.

I don't believe that they have to be big I played union with some small fast runners who were unbelievably strong and I think the AFL has a few of those going around.

Kieran Jack (swans) - His father was a rugby league legend so I am guessing he was bought up on the game, he is a great athlete as well

To think of a guy that would SWAP from AFL to Rugby League or Union - I would need to think of a big bloke, that can run fast and break tackles.
So its funny how Quinten Lynch pops up in my mind. He has a strong and very large body, perfect for League - he is fast and usually in the AFL breaks tackles because of his ability to burst out of a pack - usually because he is alot larger than the rest of the blokes.

Well its been well documented that Max Rooke considered a change of code - I think he'd make a great League player

Scott Thomson would make a good half back.
Juddy would make a great winger! and people like the big bad bustling buffoon would make a good hooker.
