RIP Jim Johnson.....................You will be missed?

Do you think the Philadelphia Eagles new Defensive Coordinator can ever produce the same results as Jim Johnson did? Man I can't believe he's gone and left us so early. I'm bummed.

I read in an article this evening that Johnson had taken the new D-Coord under his wing and really taught him a lot. He also stated that he knows the system well and will respect what Jim did defensively because he knew what worked and what didn't, and the team will continue to build from there.

I cant believe he's gone either, he was truly a defensive mastermind. I just wish he could have been here for a superbowl win.

RIP Jim Johnson. You were one of those old-school coaches I always admired and respected. You won and you did it with a lot of class and dignity. Even though everyone knew you were going to bring a blitz on third and long, you were still one of the best people at disguising a blitz. When I think Eagles D, I'll always think Coach Johnson and Dawkins. I'll never forget last year's play-offs when you coached through cancer and pain. You didn't tell anybody because you didn't want to distract the team. You never complained, never made excuses. You remind me of another legendary coach, the late 49ers line coach Bobb McKittrick. A true champion. Rest in Peace Coach.
